Broadwell’s notes to Jill Kelley were full of ‘cat fight stuff,’ a source tells Michael Daly—but there were no overt threats, and Petraeus was barely mentioned. So why did the FBI jump in?
The messages were instead what the source terms “kind of cat fight stuff.”
“More like, ‘Who do you think you are? … You parade around the base …You need to take it down a notch,’” according to the source, who was until recently at the highest levels of the intelligence community and prefers not to be identified by name.
The base being MacDill Air Force Base in Florida, where Kelley serves as an unpaid “social liaison.” The source reports that the emails did make one reference to Gen. David Petraeus, but it was oblique and offered no manifest suggestion of a personal relationship or even that he was central to the sender’s spite.
Kelley herself seemed mystified as to what was behind the emails, much less who sent them.
“I don’t know who this person is and I don’t want to keep getting them,” she told the FBI, as recounted by the source.
When the FBI friend showed the emails to the cyber squad in the Tampa field office, her fellow agents noted that the absence of any overt threats.
“No, ‘I’ll kill you” or ‘burn your house down,’” the source says. “It doesn’t seem really that bad.”

This is not unrelated to Benghazi, in my opinion. Obama had originally suggested that the GOP pick Petraeus as the VP nominee, and was clearly planning this as a steamy “October Surprise,” which is exactly what he did to win more than one election in Chicago in his past. Holder is said to have known about this very early on, and it’s not believable that he didn’t tell Obama, Jarrett and Axelrod.
Obama didn’t need to use this “surprise” because Petraeus was not the VP candidate, but when Benghazi came along, Obama knew that he’d been handed a golden opportunity. This discredits Petraeus in a big way, if not literally, at least in popular opinion, and diminishes the impact of any Benghazi testimony that might come out. And now of course Petraeus has postponed his testimony for an indefinite time while he “gets his life together”...give me a break.

So the Daily Beast writer or source does not think that the head of the CIA having an affair and being compromised rose to the level of anything that should have even been reported on at all.
My prediction at this time is that we will find out that all the War on Terror tactics denounced by Obama such as black sites and extreme interrogation techniques were still in place with the regimes approval, despite their so called executive orders. Benghazi has entered it’s third scenario. First it was an out of hand movie review. Second it was a terrorist attack against a consulate. Third, the truth, a jailbreak of a CIA black site. The regime will be caught lying big time to the American people, plus their hypocritical attacks on the Bush administration will be exposed big time.
Ok, so the FBI allocated man hours to an investigation because the agent was friends with Kelly. What are Kelly's political affiliations and connections?
The best explanation is found if you ever saw the movie “Goodfellas” The scene when Henry Hill and Jimmy Conway were going to throw the guy into the lion cage in Tampa. The guys sister worked for the FBI, so Henry and Jimmy ended up doing time.

Whatever personal mistakes Petraeus made, he served this country extraordinarily well for 38+ years. Its really sad that his career is ending in this sordid way. I sincerely hope he does not pull an Admiral Boorda. But I almost gets the feeling someone is trying to drive him to it.
