Why not a "Petition to Expel the Democrats from the Union"? (vanity)

Posted on 11/14/2012 8:49:22 AM PST by ReaganÜberAlles

Since the DemRats do not wish to abide by Constitutional principles and government if someone knows how to and would create a Petition to Expel the Democrats and/or the Blue states from the Union online I'm sure it would quickly pick up team .

I kind of like that. Go ahead and write it up like that and submit it. I bet you get 25,000 in the blink of an eye.

This nation is far too broken to be repaired and restored with a petition. The time has come for us to suffer the consequences of decades of good men doing nothing and allowing sin to flourish.

Expel the cities and the problem will be well on its way to being solved.

LOL, I had just posted this to rightistight

Shouldn’t these petitions be going to the governors of the individual states?
If there’s enough states the governors can all get together and not sucede, but expel the commies.

I had a great idea for here in Michigan. We attack Canada across the Ambassador bridge. When they respond we retreat to Oakland county and once they have conquered Detroit we declare peace and let them keep it.

FINALLY! Someone who agrees with me!

Why should WE leave the country? Make THEM leave the country. They can transport themselves to the nearest convenient third-world hellholle - erm, Socialist paradise - of their choosing.

All these secession petitions are just that - PETITIONS. Pieces of paper that are worth less than a nun’s uterus. Everyone who signs one is willingly adding their names to the guest register at the internment camp.

I’m staying. You should, too.

If that doesn't work we could stoke up the Toledo strip war and trick Ohio into winning it.

Since it is they who do not like this country, I beleive that it would be justified. Russia, China, England

I actually feel pretty bad for the folks that got redistricted into the squiggly Flint, Saginaw district that runs up to Tawas. We might be forced to mount a rescue.

Folks, you’all are the Best of the Best. Made me LOL again, and Lord knows needed to LOL. Works better than going the opposite way for certain. We can even vote money to let them build fences to keep us out, as a last act of the expulsion. Would let them know we love them, since every-time one goes looking and researching those folks want to put up fences around us. If you build that petition, they will come. One can only wonder what zer0’s response would be. Here is a guess. zer0 might say, “Ah, you didn’t build that!”

What is the point of petitions like this anyway? They accomplish absolutely nothing aside from maybe making some people giggle a little bit. I mean, how is directing any energy whatsoever into these kinds of pointless efforts worthwhile?

There are millions of political partisans on both sides. And with the advent of social media, it isn’t difficult or impressive to get thousands of electronic signatures on a petition directed at the White House.

There is historical precedent for it.

We did it in 1781 and after the war of 1812.

I am doing the genealogy of several families that were Tories and expelled to Canada.

Over the following generations many decendants have filtered back into the USA.

So far all that I have found have been leftists.

Remember Rogers of Rogers Rangers?

He was one of them.

This was how Ontario, and a lot of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick were populated.

I got a better idea: We refuse to take Detroit back until they take over all America east of the Hudson River. Then tell them we will cede as long as they accept not only Detroit, but DC, Baltimore, Wilmington and Philadelphia as part of the deal.

They agree to give American visa free access to the historical and cultural sites in those areas.

Jim Robinson's disclaimer addresses the topic of secession, among other things:

Free Republic does not advocate or condone racism, violence, rebellion, secession, or an overthrow of the government. Free Republic advocates a return to constitutionally limited government, reserving all government powers not expressly delegated by the constitution to the United States to the States respectively, or the people, emphasizing sovereign state governments, local government, self-government and self-rule, while restricting government powers to only those enumerated in the constitution and maximizing individual rights and liberty as originally envisioned and established by our Founding Fathers and secured and defended by the blood of patriots and statesmen for over two hundred years.

I don't believe that the founder and owner of this website has altered his stance on the matter of secession, even in the wake of the Obama re-election. I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong (which is why I pinged him).

Even if the 'dems' left. The country would still be filled with people who grave and support central power. There mere fact that 'we' had Romney as the GOP representative proves that.

Actually, I think we are going at this all wrong. While I believe that secession should be a viable option, even under our Constitution which was entered by the states freely and therefore should be separable freely, we suffer from an intrusion of all manner of ills from free loaders.

I propose that a concerned state enact laws that require any person that uses any state agency or resources, even to distribute and allocate Federal Funds be required to perform compensatory work to the state for such.

If you want Food Stamps, administered by each state and recompensed by the Feds, then your ass has to work on something! If you want Section 8 housing, your rental has to be inspected for local fire codes, etc. you have to work at something! If you want to use your EBT card in a grocery store, you’d better be able to pay the state tax IN CASH! You want to claim unemployment? Your hours of application are NOT ONLINE - you show up at 3AM and wait in line! And so on.

They will go home.
