Paul Ryan's Wisconsin Neighbors Supported His Opponents ["The Unkindest Cut of All"?]

Paul Ryan's Wisconsin Neighbors Supported His Opponents

By Bob Secter. November 14, 2012 In the closing days of his vice-presidential run, Paul D. Ryan sought to connect with voters in small- and medium-sized towns across Ohio by repeatedly telling them how much their community had in common with his own hometown of Janesville, Wis.

Now, post-election, the Wisconsin congressman is blaming his Republican ticket loss with presidential contender Mitt Romney on a huge turnout of urban voters for President Obama.

One flaw in that analysis may be that election results indicate the Romney-Ryan ticket didn’t exactly connect with the voters back in Janesville, either.

A struggling blue-collar manufacturing town of 63,575, Janesville lies on the eastern edge of Rock County, Wis., and unofficial election tabulations from the county clerk there show that only 37% of Ryan’s hometown neighbors voted for him and his running mate. Meanwhile, Obama and Vice President Joe Biden got 62% of the Janesville vote.

The results were even slightly worse for Ryan from his own polling place at the Hedberg Public Library. Out of 1,428 votes cast there, 65% went for Obama-Biden and just 34% for Romney-Ryan.

What a disaster Romney was, he was so bad that everyone is trying to compare his race against Jimmy Carter II, on the verge of the great depression, with the election of 2008, when the republican ticket was running against George W, and a deity, and the first black candidate.

So far the 2012 GOP shoo-in election, is not looking as good as the GOP doomed race of 2008.

Janesville had a GM plant.

Les Aspin held that district with Janesville, Kenosha, Racine, and some Milwaukee burbs for 20 years. It's not Janesville that helps Paul Ryan. He just lives there. It's parts of Waukesha County which is one of the biggest Republican strongholds in the nation.

‘Those 65% deserve everything that comes their way....’

That’s exactly how I feel about everyone who voted to re-elect Mr. Obama. Unfortunately, the rest of us will also pay a heavy price.

If a conservative candidate cant carry his home state he/she should not be at the top of the ticket or in the VP slot. The presidential election is about electoral votes and a conservative cant afford to leave any electoral votes on the table because he cant carry his state.

Sorry but its not massive voter fraud, it was an old fashioned electoral college butt kicking. It seems the folks who only believed Rasmussen and Gallop have attached themselves to Voter Fraud to explain why their guy lost. Folks need to stop only listening to other folks who only agree with them..if it was Voter fraud why isn't R/R challenging every state..they aren't because they know they lost simple as that...

Something is just so wrong about this election. During all three debates voters solidly connected a heck of alot more with Romney than they did with Obama. I guess many just took for granted with the economy being so bad, Obama practically having ZERO accomplishments as president, Romney seeing huge crowds at rallies, and the Obamacare oppression rammed down this country's throat, people would fire Obama's sorry ass.

Something definitely does not add up!

Maybe a few more years of struggling for those braindead “struggling blue-collar” workers is just what they need to have them get the message. .....But I doubt it.

Wi voter Id laws were stop by a county judge !
Chicago voter was implemented on a national scale .
Obama had office on every city strategizing how to best steal the votes in key state precincts in S Fl , Cleveland and N Va .
It was the Daley machine voter fraud machine nation wide.
They had the S Fl counties violate early voting laws and kept the precincts open after the laws require them to be closed !
This was a massive voter fraud scam on a Hugo Chavez level !
