Beck: Obama deliberately delegitimizing the US military
Glenn Beck Show | 11/15/12

Posted on 11/15/2012 8:19:18 AM PST by pabianice

Beck on radio this morning. He claims that the scandalizing of four top flag officers in the past several weeks is just the first step by Obama in destroying the credibility and legitimacy of the US military. Predicts and ever increasing number of firings and resignations so that when he guts the military budget the voters will say, "They had it coming."

Interesting take. The Dems plan years ahead; the Repubs get taken by surprise every time.

I’d like to point out that this is precisely how the Islamists got back control of Turkey from the secular, pro-Western, mostly Israel-friendly military: Slander and show trials.

The republicans are the sleeping giant that never awakens, and while it sleeps, it’s entire world is stolen from it, but it doesn’t matter at all, because it will never awaken.

I’d say the top flag officers are doing a pretty effective job of scandalizing themselves.

I agree. Nobody forced them to have these affairs or lie about Benghazi. Whatever happened to honor?

Retired admiral James Lyons has been on TV talking about the failure of this administration at Benghazi. He is still asking why nothing was done to help those people - including buzzing the crowd with jet flyovers to disperse them and buy time. He said that the military command has been politicized since the passage of Goldwater-Nichols when Reagan was president. We don’t have the same caliber of leaders in the military that we once had.

My take on the primary motivation is slightly different. Obama would love a completely politicized military and CIA. Key people are being replaced with loyalists, and others are cowed by events.

What the author suggests may be a byproduct, rather than the primary thrust.

What I should have done... was liquidate all the high-ranking officers, as Stalin did!

The dems have been showing their scorn for the military for years.
Suppressing military votes.
Making the military a social experiment.
Changing standards to accomodate non-performers.
etc.

One of King Obama’s objectives is to destroy the military. He is a firm believer that to reduce it to a point where its leadership is part of his communists empire and will quell any resistance to his plan of dictatorship.

I told my husband last night the reason we were seeing so many demotions of military personnel and firings was because obama wants the American people to be ok with slashing their budget.
Having said that, ever since obama came on the national scene, my husband has said he wanted to take the military budget and use it to fund his gimmie programs and to make us weaker in the event of another muslim attack.

Has to happen, the military is the only thing that stands between liberty and the complete islamization of our culture.

I pray for them - God grant the strength and wisdom to know what it means to protect the Constitution of the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic and to insure the liberty of the people. Amen

That is exactly what is happening, and many people here are aleady falling for it.

I had this exact same thought. The general who was demoted/kicked out because of “excessive spending.”? Really? A confrontation between The Regime and the US military could be brewing.

“Interesting take. The Dems plan years ahead; the Repubs get taken by surprise every time.”

Unlike the Democrats, most Republicans in political office and at the RNC headquarters are not committed to core values or a guiding philosophy. They are pragmatists who support big business, crony capitalism, and globalism. They give lip service to political conservatives in order to secure votes but feel no affinity for the American people nor are they concerned with the future of the country other than securing their own positions at the government trough.

I’ve come to the conclusion the Republican leadership is not surprised by the actions of the Democrats. They have become willing accomplices. The Democrats require a foil to create the impression there really is a contest between two parties and provide theater to distract the American people from what they are really doing. The Republican establishment has willingly signed on to playing the “bad guy” role in this farce into order to share in the spoils. We will see this play out again in the budget negotiations where Boehner and McConnell will make noises about fiscal responsibility so the Democrats can beat them up for protecting the rich and wanting to make the poor starve. When we reach the point of crisis defined by the Democrats and the media, the Republicans will cave, the Dems will get credit for saving the poor, and everyone in Washington will go back to the party circuit until the next crisis or election.

If Boehner was truly serious he’d be pointing out the fact that Obama is running away to Asia next week instead of staying in town and engaging in serious negotiations over the fiscal cliff. Obama has no intention of engaging in real negotiations, he has already given his class warfare speeches and will now go into hiding, letting Pelosi and Reid continue the pontificating until we get to the edge of the cliff. Then Obama will magically reappear on the scene to insist on compromise by the Republicans in order to save the country. Boehner and McConnell will comply and Obama will have another victory. The drama will have been played out in the media for the entertainment of the masses who can then return to watching “Dancing with the Stars” and the Superbowl.

We conservatives continue to enable this farce by buying into the notion we must support the RINO’s to save the country. We are like the battered spouse who keeps getting her teeth kicked in and then returns home after a few weeks from the shelter for another round. Likely we’ll see this game played again in 2014 and 2016 because we the people seem unable and unwilling to form a viable alternative political movement.

Unfortunately for the Republican elites, this time around the Democrats are putting in place the infrastructure for a dictatorship. With the Patriot Act, Obamacare, Dodd Frank, and decades of environmental regulations they have corrupted the government bureaucracy (Justice, State, Homeland Security, EPA, Treasury, and HHS) and set in place the legal structure for the President to assume dictatorial powers in a “crisis”. Now they are purging the military and CIA to make the military compliant when the time for a coup occurs.

No doubt when Iran sets a dirty bomb or actual nuclear bomb off in a major city, or we have another major financial collapse, the legal ground work will be in place to justify a suspension of the Constitution and elections for the duration of a crisis. After 2-3 years of dictatorship the states will be compelled to petition for a Constitutional Convention at which members of the leftist elite chosen by the president, will write a modern document to replace that obsolete piece of paper written by 18th century slaveowners.

It happened in Russia, it happened in Germany, it happened in Cuba, it happened in Venezuela and it is coming to America. When it does, Mr. Boehner and Mr. McConnell, as well as the Bush family, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and the rest of the RINO establishment will learn the real facts of life as they disappear to the indoctrination camps or worse. Likely they will be surprised, but I won’t.

Let’s call it what it is, “a purge.”

I think the republicans are neutered because they are all being blackmailed.

Exactly. It’s the start of a putsch by the regime against the true sovereign, the People.

I had this same thought, especially when you add in how the ‘soldiers voting rights act’ has actually made it harder for our military folks, especially overseas, to vote.
