For fans of Greg Gutfeld, The Five and/or Red Eye.
Post your thoughts, reviews of his book(s) and links to interviews.
I'll start by posting a link to a radio interview that Mark Levin conducted for his book.
I'm in the process of reading The Joy Of Hate and it's a hoot. Actual meat and potatoes of Conservative thought with just a little (if by a little you mean a lot) tofu of humor thrown in for good measure.
Thankfully, he has been able to convince his employer to give him a show that airs at a more amenable time.
I just discovered Gutfeld this week. Love him!
I know he is supposed to come to Gainesville, FL sometime soon. I’d like to get the book and have it signed at the same time. Do you have a link to his signing dates?
P.S. I like Red Eye, funny show. I’d say he’s as much Libertarian as Conservative though.
I have always enjoyed him on The Five. Heard him on Levin last night and thinking about getting his book. He will appeal to the college-aged.....which is a good thing.
They have a ton of free Red Eye episodes on Hulu.com
The dude is awesome.
I remember during the Ground Zero Mosque controversy, Greg said if they open it....he would buy the building next door, open up a gay bar....and call it “The Suspicious Package”. *snort*
He’s got a great sense of humor.
I’m gonna get flamed for this, and I do like Gutfeld BUT.. SOMETIMES WHEN I’M UPSET ABOUT THE LEFTIES OR SOMETHING 0BAMA HAS DONE, I’M IN NO MOOD TO HEAR GUTFELD JOKE ABOUT IT. ‘Red Eye’ is good to get the younger people into conservative thought, though.
He has a website Thedailygut.com. Love him and all the Red Eye guys. Also theactivitypit.com.
Thank you for the links.
We love his show Red Eye - but The Five has that blowhard azzbag Beckel on it so I can’t watch.
He’s smart and funny, but has no grasp of the relationship between social and economic issues.
He's no Andrew Breitbart but he does understand Andrew's point that: "Politics is downstream from pop culture." Andrew was a frequent guest on Red Eye. That and a bevy of female conservative beauties. ;o)
Beckel is comic relief. Even he knows he’s full of it and acknowledges that he’s a team player before an honest analyst.. still, we got Gutfeld, Bolling, Guilfoyl, Tantaros and on a good day Perino and they challende everything Beckel says.
Dear Greg,
If you read this I’d love to have you on Angel and the Wiz for a whole 28 minute show....we’re seen in NYC every Wednesday at 4 PM, on MNN channel 2, and world wide on the web at you tube at angelandthewiz......
Why the invite....
Because you remind me of the old days back in the 70’s when we pioneered intellectual TV.....you’re so refreshing....you think, you use big words but you explain them.....you talk to adults......reminds me of the old “off To C The Wizard” Cable TV show on Sterling Manhattan cable...(now Time Warner)
You are such a pleasure for thinking people......(they called us hippies back then, but the changes we made to TV opened the door to your “Red Eye Show”.....and many of the things we pioneered are still on TV today...can you say Saturday Night live?)
All the best with your book
Gutfeld describes himself as both a libertarian and an agnostic atheist.
“I became a conservative by being around liberals and I became a libertarian by being around conservatives. You realize that theres something distinctly in common between the two groups, the left and the right; the worst part of each of them is the moralizing.” (-Gutfeld, Reason.com 09/18/2009)
I love this guy’s work.
I started watching The Five a few months ago and now I cannot miss one show because of Greg Gutfeld. I hope his book is a blockbuster!
This is what we need - to make being a conservative cool. I remember an old country song by Barbara Mandel (I think she sang it) with a line that said: I was country, when country wasn’t cool. We should rework this as : I was a conservative, before it was cool. Or something like that.
In other words, we need to make it cool to be a conservative. Not the party of old, rich, white men which most people believe it to be.
