Maybe we could open a thread to brain storm on how to get Virginia Sunaharas records? Maybe it will be easier to get her records? Maybe someone could write a check to Viginia and then give it to her brothers hands? With stipulation that he is inheriting the money from her, and only if he can show her BC and his. This way he has a clear need to see it, and prove her birth. To prove he is related to her, and has access to her records, as a right of a relative. The subject photograph was taken after the speech he made at the Oxford Union, there's no doubt that both he and Abrahams were there. The subject photograph was evidently taken at Oxford. There's no need that I can see to make them 'look cool' - you've seen the video and the official photograph of the participants. So you need to say just exactly WHAT about that image seems fake to you?

Are you suggesting that some of the people in that group don't belong there? Or that the entire group was transplanted from elsewhere and the Oxford surrounds are a false backdrop? When you say an image is a fake, there has to be a reason or a context. You can't just say ' it looks fake to me' without explaining WHY.

Look at the light on the hair of Malcom x and the hair of the woman he is next to, then look at the light on the two men stage left and right.Compare that difference in terms of lighht shgining on their heads. This can’t be a genuine photo, whether authenticated or not.If you look at the photo immediately preceding that one at the getty site, you will see a more pronounced difference.Tghe background has an entorely differnet light source as well, so much so that it looks like a painted on stage set.

The leftist black power nationalists have been up to this for years. The original image may have been authenticated, but this one is not, the background and the figures are from different photos IMHO. The figures are cut outs.

BTW, I love your photos, but this one is surreal.

I did read that comment, it's what I have been replying to, you appear to be saying that the people in the image were NOT there, you say they look like cut-outs. In other words, you seem to be suggesting that MX was not at Oxford, and 'they' mysteriously had to place him there. Sorry, it just doesn't make sense. If he was never at Oxford and it it wasn't so well recorded that he was, THEN I might think it's possible he and his companions were super-imposed onto a false background. But he was there, and that he was hosted by Abrahams is indisputably recorded. So I just to not see the point.

No Fred, I am not saying that X was not at Oxford. I am saying that the photo was altered.The people in the photo look cut out from another photo and inserted in front of that building.I do not know why it was done.Maybe some others were cut out of the photo, its passingly strange, thats all.

I'm really tired of it all, sometimes a photograph is just a photograph. He was there, so was Abrahams, and he quoted from Hamlet during the speech - so having a Shakespeare actress with him isn't a huge leap. She's the same girl who played Anna Rosas in the 1962 episode of The Avengers.

That could be it. Or for whatever reason. I do know that those people have different light exposure on their heads and faces than the buildings do, I can only surmise why it would be as it is. There may have been one or more persons with them in the original photo who they might not want to have a record about.

I watched that video, having seen it before many years ago. It struck me that Malcolm X’s appeal in the debate was one of emotion rather than logic, buoyed by his charismatic speaking style.

Yes he may have been correct in many ways concerning his ionterpretation of history, but his manner of altering history, the view that his contemporary white colleagues are without question responsible for the deeds of racial segregation of their forefathers is just plain fascist.
If one is white, regardless of ones actions, heart , or miond, one ios still guilty of the sin of racism.That itslef is racism.
