Fox News self-described liberal political analyst Kirsten Powers tore into President Barack Obama‘s full-throated defense of U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice over her response to the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Unlike the conservative critics who take issue with Obama’s defense for obvious reason, Powers was offended by it because of what she believes was a “sexist” tone.
In her Fox News column, Powers described the president’s performance as “bizarrely” casting Rice “as some delicate flower the boys should stop picking on” for her post-Benghazi comments. “There is no damsel in distress and Obama’s paternalistic bravado in defense of a top administration official is going to come back to haunt him,” Powers wrote.
The Democratic analyst took particular exception with Obama characterizing Rice as “an easy target,” writing that “it’s absurd and chauvinistic for Obama to talk about the woman he thinks should be Secretary of State of the United States as if she needs the big strong man to come to her defense because a couple of Senators are criticizing her.”
She continued: “The conceit of Obama’s argument is that people are picking on a helpless girl — a lowly U.N. ambassador — because they are afraid of the big bad president. Oh, please.”
If she is so weak and helpless that she can’t handle the critisism coming her way over this then there is no doubt she is not strong enough to be a Sec. of State. !!
I wonder what happened to the 1970’s battle cry “we are wimmins, hear us roar.” Theres no roaring coming from Rice. She needs big, bad bammer to protect her.

There was a great shot on Bret Baier’s panel the other day: Laura Ingraham and Kirsten Powers sitting right next to each other.
When things got hot, Hillary disappeared. When things got hotter, Rice had to be defended by a MAN! So people, would you want EITHER of these scardy cat girls as your President? Well, three scardy cat girls if you count Obama.
I don’t like KP at all, and turn her off whenever she comes on!
Maybe Powers remembers that when TSHTF, Condoleeza Rice stood there and took the arrows. She didn’t need the help of any MAN! The liberal Democrat females react differently. When things go wrong, they can hide behind a liberal media or a strong MAN! Yeah, they want equality, top jobs and equal pay. But when it gets rough, they break like little girls. (Thanks Bob Dylan)
