Libyans, diplomats: CIA's Benghazi annex a secret
Seattle Times ^ | 11/12/2012 | Nancy A. Youssef -- McClatchy

Just more than a mile from the group of villas that served as the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was another set of U.S.-leased villas — an annex where the CIA had set up shop, and from where would-be rescuers set out on the night of Sept. 11 in response to the attack at the consulate.

Despite speculation to the contrary, no Libyan or non-American diplomats stationed in Benghazi say they knew of the existence or purpose of the CIA annex.

Top Libyan security officials in Benghazi and Tripoli, as well as diplomatic representatives who worked closely with Americans here, said they had no idea about the compound, which unlike the consulate had no signs of American life outside its tall gates. There were no concrete barriers in front or barbed wire on the top of its concrete wall.

Libya's deputy interior minister, Omar al-Khadrawy, and the deputy interior minister for Benghazi, Saleh Daghman, told McClatchy Newspapers they didn't know that the CIA had kept a base there. Neither did the second in command of Benghazi's largest revolutionary brigade, the Libyan Shield. Two consuls from allied nations who met frequently with Americans said they didn't know the CIA annex existed until after the deadly Sept. 11 attack.

Ahmed Langhi, Benghazi's representative to the country's congress, the General National Council, said he didn't think that anyone in the top levels of the Libyan government knew that the CIA was housed there; neither did he.

Of the dozen people McClatchy asked in Benghazi and Tripoli, only an unarmed 31-year-old security guard who was stationed at the main gate of the consulate on Sept. 11 had heard about a possible second U.S. compound in Benghazi. And he said he didn't know the CIA had been based there.

Those above him knew enough to lie about it.

They would have had to do some quick following too. They raced back from the consulate to the ‘annex’ under attack on the way. The ‘annex’ was then attacked almost immediately.

Hopefully the truth will come out that the CIA was running a interrogation center and arms transfer post, both were without congressional approval. No wonder Obama wanted to sweep this under the rug as as soon as the two murdered CIA agents were investigated, the whole CIA operation would be uncovered. Fortunately, the Petraeus sex scandal kept this on the front pages and hopefully the full story will be uncovered. Obama’s goal is to have the Muslim Brotherhood have control of all the middle east, with Lybia and Egypt already there, he was aiding the Syrian rebels with arms and info in an effort to overthrow the government there and install another MB group.

Thanks!

By late this coming Monday, will anyone besides Freepers even care about this event?

I think that is apparent that with all agencies and the military stating they did not change the “talking points” account of the event that it was the White House. Fox is just now speculating that we should look at the NSC Deputies Commitee.

Anyone remember the chairman of that Committee? Denis McDonogh!

“Why were they going to close down the CIA annex in a couple of weeks?”

Maybe they ran out of prisoners or water for the water boarding.

Maybe all of the RPGs and ground to air missiles fired by a a team of two had been distributed.

Report: Hamas Preparing Chemical Weapons
Breitbart ^ | 11/18/12 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on Sunday, November 18, 2012 11:19:14 AM by Nachum

According to Britain’s Sunday Times, Israeli special forces are already on the ground in Gaza seeking out rockets and weapons for targeting. The Times is also reporting that Hamas may place chemical weapons on its long-range missiles. “Hamas might go for a desperate attempt to launch rockets with chemical warheads if the worst came to the worst,” one unnamed source reported.

It has been reported that Hamas is hiding its rockets underground, particularly near civilian areas including mosques, hoping that Israel will not strike such targets out of concern for civilian life.

The same report gave a timeline of the killing of Hamas military chief Ahmed Jabari:

Joe Lieberman is saying today why did we leave our people without security and why did we not come to their aid are still the central issues.

I think the answer is that “stuff was going” on that the White House did not want known. We have about four dark theories going right now and it may be a combination.

Turkish routing of weapons to Syria.
Interrogation Facility
Blind Sheik trade
Obama didn’t perform due to election goals.

It is speculated on Fox that the NSC Deputies Committee crafted the whole Internet movie talking point alteration. That is chaired by Obama’s creature Denis McDonough who is his Muslim interface specialist.

"Who knew there were villas in Benghazi?

In the Mediterranean world, a "villa" is merely a detached residence, nothing more, nothing less. California developers have managed to inflate the term to something more grandiose.

Agree....Probably not. These folks go native when in town. No 5.11 fashionistas or black water look tactical. All Track suits, dark tans, flip flops and cheap watches and sunglasses. You show up to work with these guys with a pair of oakleys you get the evil eye for sure.

As to this fight and discovery , just my opinion of course,... They were followed by the raiding party and cling ons from the consulate IMHO. Any other day they would have bailed on their hide and disappeared into the dark of night. In this case they had 20 state department staffers weighing them down. Better to gun up and hold what they had. Never suspecting the DOS and POTUS would leave their employees hanging.

The CIA contractors stayed with em figuring the cavalry was enroute .

They won’t make that mistake again IMO.

Stay safe.

I think you are likely right. If there had been no need for the rescue like sufficient security at the consulate, no one would have ever known the CIA had people and a building there.

While the Consulate attack was sloppy, the attack on, “The Farm” (annex) was much more professional. Over two hours elapsed between these two attacks:

Why are people so sure that both of these two attacks were carried out by the same (or roughly the same) groupup of people..?

It could be that the second attack was carried out by a more sophisticated, third country or organization that sensed an opening after the opening of thethe first attack.

Just one point....I really don’t think Obama’s liberal base would even care if he had a black op detention center in Benghazi or even if prisoners were being ‘tortured’ or waterboarded. Obots would have voted for him anyway. They only pretended to be outraged at stuff like that because Bush was president. They don’t care about anything but socialism, communism and free crap.
