I will take no further action to contest this election.

by Allen West on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 3:18am ·

For two weeks since Election Day, we have been working to ensure every vote is counted accurately and fairly. We have made progress towards that goal, thanks to the dedication of our supporters and their unrelenting efforts to protect the integrity of the democratic process. While many questions remain unanswered, today I am announcing that I will take no further action to contest the outcome of this election.

While there are certainly still inaccuracies in the results, and the actions of the St. Lucie County and Palm Beach County Supervisors of Elections rightly raise questions in my mind and for many voters, after much analysis and this past weekend's recount in St. Lucie County, our legal team does not believe there are enough over-counted, undercounted or fraudulent votes to change the outcome of the election.

While a contest of the election results might have changed the vote totals, we do not have evidence that the outcome would change. Given the extremely high evidentiary hurdles involved in a successful challenge, I will not ask my generous supporters to help fund a drawn-out, expensive legal effort with little chance of success. Therefore, we will not contest the certification or challenge the seating of Congressman-elect Murphy.

Serving the people in the House of Representatives has been among the highest honors of my life, but this seat does not belong to me, or for that matter, to any individual. It belongs to the people.

I want to congratulate my opponent, Patrick Murphy, as the new Congressman from the 18th Congressional District. I pray he will serve his constituents with honor and integrity, and put the interests of our nation before his own.

I must thank my wife Angela, and my daughters Aubrey and Austen for their support, patience, understanding and most of all, love. These are three of the toughest women I know. They have sent me off to defend our nation overseas at war, and to Capitol Hill to serve our nation in the House of Representatives. They have all handled the challenges of these last few months, and the last many years, with amazing grace. I know they will be by my side for whatever is our next chapter.

I want to thank my congressional and campaign staff for their service, and most importantly, I want to thank all of our tremendous supporters who provided their time and money to power our campaign. I am humbled by the dedication and perseverance of our supporters, and their commitment to a free and prosperous America. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for our campaign, but most importantly, what they have done, and will continue to do for our country. None of us should let the outcome discourage us. We should only redouble our resolve.

Above all, I want to thank God for his blessings, and for blessing me with the opportunity to serve.

Only God knows what is in store for each of us. I have dedicated my life to serving this nation, and the results of this election will not change my purpose. Just as I did in the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan, just as I did on Capitol Hill, I will continue to fight for our Republic.

Our nation will not overcome our challenges overnight, and the road ahead for each one of us will not be easy. But this nation would never have become that shining beacon of light if our founders had chosen the easy path 236 years ago. We all must proudly continue their legacy.

For the protection and preservation of our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, I shall remain steadfast and loyal. God bless you and God bless these United States of America

Go over to YouTube and type in vote fraud, or voting machines hacked, and educate yourself.

You sound EXACTLY like Democrats after their 2002 midterm and 2004 presidential election losses. This is what they attributed their defeats to. In fact, it spawned all sorts of nutty conspiracy sites like BlackBoxVoting (most run by frauds). If you visited a liberal forum at that time almost all they could talk about was how Diebold electronic voting machines were being hacked by rich Republicans. They simply could not accept they were losing elections. Now, sadly, I am seeing some of the same thing here and in other conservative circles. People simply do not want to accept that the majority are simply not with us at the moment.

the election process has been completely corrupted. Why is it so hard for Americans to see this?

Exactly correct kenny, but as this thread shows they really don't get it.

The fraud is easiest if it is a close race. Even if the race is not close a bunch of fake polls can make it look that way. Polling and voting machines are a tyrants dream.

Sorry, but the truth is Obama beat Romney by approximately 4 million votes nationally.

Electorial votes are what win, and 500,000 votes in key areas are all that was required.

I notice you misspell his name the same way I used to. He is beyond help.

And Obama got millions less votes than 2008, while the GOP couldn’t turn out any more voters than McCain got. The odds of that being cheating would seem remote.

Maybe because the House Republicans will be blamed for everything since bills are generated from the House or should be.

How lucky there is still a scapegoat for Obama and OLD OLD Reid fancy that.

“The problem with this option is, ultimately, how do you make this case to the “Euro” audience (in order to maximize their vote) without attracting the lunatic fringe, genuine haters, true racists, etc. We really don’t want a bunch of Aryan Nations types make inroads in the conservative movement.”

I’ll respond by asking, how do the Republicans make their case in states like Mississippi or Alabama RIGHT NOW?

Romney got 89% of “the Euro vote” in Mississippi, and he received 84% of their vote in Alabama, if I recall correctly.

And in both those states, there are “minority populations” that amount to something like 35% of the population or more. But the Pubbies win anyway, and they win easily.

Obviously, the party down there is doing something right. You may call them “racis’”, you may call them whatever you wish. But they are winning.

“Ultimately”, we must “make the case” to the Euros elsewhere the same way that it has been made to those of Dixie.

We don’t need overwhelming numbers (yet). What we DO need is a percentage increase from, say, 59% to 65% , especially in those critical states where it can make a difference. And in those very “critical states”, the populations are heavily Euro (unlike states like California, New Mexico, Illinois, New York, which in all likelihood will never vote for a Republican presidential candidate again).

Whatever is being done in the deep south right now WORKS.
Let’s make it work elsewhere for us.

The electronic fraud is the fact of the entire election, and the GOPe trying to cover for it is shameful, just like your duplicitousness.

Yes, sure, the "GOPe" is trying to cover up a fraud that cost them the election. And all these conservative think tanks and judicial watchdog groups on our side - are they part of this conspiracy to paper over the Democrats election fraud. This is the kind of loopy conspiracy theory most commonly found on InfoWars. Democrats also believed in this elaborate voting machine conspiracy theory when they were losing.

Romney had to have beaten Obama by several million votes or the split in the house votes wouldn’t make any sense

You really have no idea what you are talking about. None. In fact, I can't remember you posting anything sensible at all. Ever. Sorry to say that, but it's true. Aren't you also into the birther conspiracy nonsense?

First, Democratic House candidates won the popular vote. Were you even aware of this? More Americans went to the polls to vote for the Democrat House candidate than did the Republican House candidate. We won because of redistricting. It's part of why we struggle in statewide contests. We've simply done a tremendous job of gerrymandering districts to our benefit - and we are aided by African Americans who want nearly all black districts so they can be guaranteed black representation in Congress.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections,_2012

House Democrats won a narrow plurality of the nation-wide vote,[5][6] and according to an analysis by the nonpartisan organization FairVote, about 52% of voters preferred Democratic candidates,[7] but House Republicans were able to retain a solid majority due to their advantage in the congressional redistricting process following the 2010 United States Census, and because of population distribution and many Democratic votes concentrated into urban and minority districts. The last time the majority party in the House was unable to receive a plurality of the popular vote was in 1996, where the GOP kept the House for similar reasons.[8][9]

Second, ticket splitting is common. Were you aware that the Democrats controlled the House for nearly 50 years straight. Through all those Presidents including Nixon, Ford and Reagan, the Democrats controlled the House. Even IF more Americans voted for a Republican House, and they didn't, you can't divine anything from that.

We did not lose this election because of vote fraud. More Americans went to the voting booths and voted for Democrats on a national level. We have far more takers than makers now. We've become much more of a European social welfare state, and our people are voting accordingly. Europeans went down this path, what on earth convinces you that American's simply aren't doing the same? Especially given that we are importing huge numbers of poor Hispanics from a country (Mexico) that voted for the Socialists PRI party for 70 years straight. We have more and more Hispanics and they like big government.

The nonsense is all yours.

Even Obama’s brother and cousins swear he was born in Kenya, moron.

Your trolling here is beyond insane. You are without effect here; we all know what you are.

Deny the fraud all you wish, the evidence is strong, as is the anger of the American public at this crime.

Never forget “DIRTY GERTY”.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I believe that the RINOs at RNC did things to make sure West lost. Redistricting his electoral district was one of them. I also believe the RINOs at RNC gave tghe Obama campaign and the liberal fascists any intell they could that would help defeat West.

A conservative black man is unwanted in the Republican party. A balck man who is Republican has to be progressive , or he must be outed.Thats it folks.

It is SO Tea Party time.

So as expected, you've got nothing.

I just blew your theory that the House results proved election fraud to pieces, and the best you can do is spout more birther conspiracy slop.

Your trolling here is beyond insane

Ah, crawling into your normal refuge. When your silly claims are debunked you start shouting "troll" and attempt to get people banned. Pathetic.
