A second man has come forward saying he had sex with Kevin Clash, the voice of “Sesame Street” character Elmo, when the accuser was a teenage minor, according to a report.

Cecil Singleton, who is now in his 30s, said he and Clash hooked up on a gay phone sex line in 1993 when he was 15 and the muppeteer was 32, according to a new $5 million lawsuit reported by TMZ.
Singleton said Clash “trolled” phone sex lines to meet boys and wooed him with gifts of cash and fancy dinners, the lawsuit said, according to TMZ.
Clash was “preying on teenage boys to satisfy his depraved sexual interests" while at the same time working as the voice behind the beloved character on the landmark PBS children's show, the lawsuit said.

That's a big "if"? I've got no sympathy for anyone involved in this sordid little drama but how can someone defend themselves against 18 year old allegations? The statute of limitations in all these types of cases should expire 2 years after the alleged victim turns 18.

I’m guessing Mr Clash emptied out his 401K in hopes that it’d be just one punk in line. At this point, there probably won’t be much to retire on.

In retrospect, Elmo’s creepy weird high-pitched voice saying “Elmo loves you” should have been a red flag that he was a pervert.
People need to shut off this stupid show.
Now we know why victim number one is recanting his recantation after being paid a paltry $120,000 to STFU: he knows he sold out way to cheaply and wants more money.
Oh my, Jeff Smith, the frugal gourmet. I used to love his show prior to finding out he was a pervert. Not surprised by the Elmo connection.
They probably gave him the number in his “health” class at school and told him it was perfectly normal.
Same here. I really enjoyed the Frugal Gourmet when I was a kid. Hated to find out he was such a creep in real life. The Smoking Gun has the actual complaint filed against him by his victims, and man is it ugly. Not only is Smith named, but his wife was, too. The attorneys claimed they had evidence she used her position in his business to pay “hush money” on several occasions, and knowingly turned a blind eye to what Jeff was doing.
IIRC, there may also have been an even darker accusation: that she may have even been Smith’s “procurer”, purposely hiring young men for the kitchen that would appeal to her husband. Not sure about that one, though.

Amazing how none of the media outlets will use the term “pedophile” in association with Mr Clash isn’t it? It always “inappropriate” or “underage”, but not pedophile. They’re already pushing the language to support their child molesting friends.
