One 13-year-old boy gave away all of his Bar Mitzvah money to help wounded soldiers of the United States.
Joshua Neidorf, from Los Angeles, California, donated his Bar Mitzvah money to the Operation Mend program, a program which helps with things like reconstructing the face of severely burned U.S. soldiers.
Joshua Neidorf, presented a check of $13,000 to University of California's Operation Mend program.
Neidorf decided to donate his Bar Mitzvah money to the wounded soldiers after he met with Army Sgt. Louis Dahlman, who underwent a series of jaw reconstruction surgeries at UCLA through Operation Mend.
May his gift be returned as Blessings a thousand fold.
What a wonderful kid!!!!
What a joy to be the parent of such a child! :-)
Very impressive, and from L.A.
Maybe there is hope yet, I’ve been extremely depressed.
Thanks to this young man, he’s given me a boost too, and thanks expat for posting this story.
It’s wonderful to see that level of character in a 13 year old boy. He already has something far more valuable.
God BLESS him!! What a nice story!!
Ping!
Mazel-tov, Joshua!
Regards,
THank you, Joshua. Your kindness and generosity is an inspiration to us all.
Maybe some enterprising Captain down at Ft. Irwin can get this kid a ride in a tank or something similarly appealing to 13yo boys.
The ceremony is about coming of age, of becoming a man. He has reached that state well ahead of many of those older than himself. Well done!
Inspiring!
Congratulations to this young man! Also, it was very heartening to read such a good story after so much bad news.
What a wonderful thing for this boy to do.
Nice.
God bless him!
Thanks for posting.
Already he is a mensch!
“Already he is a mensch!”
You took the words right out of my mouth!
Joshua Neidorf has joined the ranks of heroes.
A fine young man!!!!
