Bias: It's hard to see how press coverage of President Obama's re-election bid could have gotten any more biased, but a new report shows the media managed to outdo themselves the week before voters went to the polls.
The Pew Research Center's latest analysis puts hard numbers against the claim that the press went out of its way to get Obama re-elected.
According to the report, after months of positive press, "Obama's coverage improved dramatically" in the crucial final week of the campaign.
In fact, 29% of the stories about Obama that week were positive and just 19% were negative. At the same time, a third of the stories about Mitt Romney were negative, and just 16% were positive.
When it comes to bias, MSNBC is in a league of its own, Pew found. It ran zero negative stories about Obama and zero positive stories about Romney in that last week.

The fairness doctrine is looking better every day. I would love to see Ann Coulter, Monica Crowley or Laura Ingraham host a show on MSNBC right after Madcow.
Heck, Fox has Geraldo and sometimes Juan Willams doing a show.
Ah, but just think how The Left would apply the fairness doctrine. It would look like diversity of thought on college campuses.

We forget that the leftwing definition of “fair” is unrecognizable to most of us.
To us, fair means telling the truth and giving equal time to opposing views.
To them, “fair” means never saying anything they dislike. They would use an equal time rule to load up the networks with 150 different opposing views, all of which were aimed at shooting down the lone conservative voice.
(This is like “fair” fiscal policy. To us, fair means keeping what we earn. To them, “fair” means taking money away from hard workers and “sharing” it.)
The Fairness Doctrine was never proposed to apply to cable. The real targets would be Beck and Limbaugh.
Who is the puppet master behind all this???
Answer that one, and you've got yourself an (unacknowledged by the MSM) bestseller -- and enough money to afford a world-class security team to keep you alive.
You'd need Greedo and Boba Fett watching your back for you.
