UPDATE: Well, that didn’t last long. Earlier this morning before I posted this item the OIC press release noted that U.S. Consul General in Jeddah Anne Casper would be attending the OIC’s meeting:
The Session will be attended by Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the OIC Secretary General. It will be chaired by Ambassador Ahmad Taib , Director General of the Branch of the Saudi Foreign Ministry, Makkah Al-Mukarrammah region. It will also be attended by Sergey Kuznetsov, Consul General of the Russian Federation and Anne Casper, US Consul General in Jeddah.
But within the past few hours that mention has been scrubbed. The press release I linked to earlier now reads:
The Session will be attended by Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the OIC Secretary General and members of the Jeddah diplomatic community and other invited guests.
No more mention of Anne Casper attending today’s OIC session on banning “defamation of Islam.” Let the cover-up begin!

ORIGINAL POST: After the disaster of trying to blame an obscure YouTube video for the attack on the CIA operation in Benghazi and Obama’s prophecy at the UN that “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam,” Hillary Clinton’s State Department appears to be taking another run at the First Amendment free speech rights of American citizens.
A notice was posted yesterday on the website of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) about a symposium to be held today at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on “Defamation Acts Against Islam.” And one top U.S. State Department official will be in attendance:
The headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will host a symposium on “Defamation Acts against Islam: conflict dimensions and perspectives of co-existence between Islam and the West” on Monday 19/11/2012.
The Session will be attended by Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the OIC Secretary General. It will be chaired by Ambassador Ahmad Taib , Director General of the Branch of the Saudi Foreign Ministry, Makkah Al-Mukarrammah region. It will also be attended by Sergey Kuznetsov, Consul General of the Russian Federation and Anne Casper, US Consul General in Jeddah.
The OIC has made no secret of its intentions to use the UN and international law to criminalize what they consider to be “defamation of Islam.” For example, OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu gave a speech last Friday on “An OIC Approach for Combating Discrimination and Intolerance against Muslims,” in which he gave a road map of how they plan to do it:
OIC’s position has all along been entrenched in international legal instruments and we need to build on this tradition. We must emphasize that there is no hierarchy of human rights whereby a single right can trump others. Freedom of opinion and expression is among the fundamental rights.It does not include a licence to hate mongering. Freedom of expression does not mean the right to vilify. Our position must also be rooted in history and culture. Having indicated our seriousness at building consensus, we must seek to be reciprocated in the same spirit. We need to seek multi-stakeholder support for an international discourse seeking an intercultural solution – A solution that acknowledges that denigration of symbols and personalities sacred in Islam must be viewed as a matter of identity. It inflicts the psyche of Muslim all over the world. It is in that context that we seek an end to the systematic pattern and increasing frequency of events that contribute towards stereotyping, stigmatization and alienation of Muslims. Such events constitute an affront to human dignity violating the whole range of human rights of victims.
Coinciding with that “brainstorming” session during the OIC’s annual meeting of foreign ministers, the OIC released its Fifth Annual Report on Islamophobia, which is primarily directed at acts of free speech committed in the United States.
Hillary Clinton’s complicity with the OIC towards these ends is no surprise either, since she met twice with the OIC last year as part of the “Istanbul Process,” including her vow to use “old fashioned techniques of peer-pressure and shaming” to target “Islamophobia.”
Those meetings played out last December when the State Department backed the OIC-drafted UN Human Rights Council Resolution 16/18. Check out the membership of the UN Human Rights Council.
No word on when Hillary Clinton intends to press the OIC about the pandemic racism and “kafirphobia” of the Muslim world.

This is a photograph of Anne Casper, the new US Consul General in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In the photograph, she is beaming about the 25,000th visa presented in Saudi Arabia in 2012 on October 21 (93.7 percent of Saudi visa applicants have been approved this year, according to the article in Prince Alwaleed's Arab News). The lucky visa-holder is a "Saudi businessman" heading for the US for meetings about a company which is described as promoting "studying engineering sciences through after-school programs for young people."
How great is that?
One day earlier, Casper had been "received" by the OIC's SecGen Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, which is OIC-ese for "met with." Caspar and Ihsanoglu, the OIC declared, had a "useful and extensive exchange of views on issues of mutual interest" (read: Islamic interest), which, in this case, you can bet, was an exchange about outlawing defamation of Islam, or, as the release put it, "the ways and means to fight extremism and reach out to mass people to strengthen harmony and peaceful coexistence."
No wonder Casper ended up on the OIC guest list for an OIC event on November 19 called "a symposium on Defamation of Islam"!
Only then she wasn't. That is, after reading at the OIC site that Casper would be attending the November 19th, I have since learned her name was removed from the entry.
Sometime today, after Patrick Poole simply reposted the OIC announcement of the symposium, which noted Casper would be attending, the OIC erased Casper's name. Poole, however, made a screenshot, which you can see here.
Not only did the OIC remove Casper's name, the OIC changed the headline on the event from "a symposium on Defamation of Islam" to "Symposium on dimensions and perspectives of Islam-West coexistence on the back drop of anti-Islam acts."
Touchy, aren't they? After all, why would anyone get upset that the US government is lending credence to the Islamic world movement to outlaw defamation -- which includes all criticism and fact-exposure -- of Islam?

BENGHAZI CONNECTION???
This same phony story -- that "extreme groups" took advantage of a "spontaneous" protest over a YouTube video to mount an "unplanned" attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi -- would be repeated by the Obama White House for two weeks, climaxing in the president's U.N. address on Sept. 25. There, President Obama cited the video six times and declared to the world body, dominated by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (an Islamic bloc of 56 nations plus the Palestinian Authority): "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."
Blaming the YouTube video for the violence was, in effect, blaming free speech, which is also OIC policy. Additionally, it denied the reality of the planned jihad attack, which, by extension, denied that al-Qaida-style jihad terrorism still exists at the vanguard of expansionist Islam.
To date, the media haven't asked President Obama and his top officials, why? Why the administration-wide cover-up? Why didn't military help get to Battleground Benghazi? Without coming clean, President Obama has been re-elected, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton mentioned as a 2016 presidential candidate, and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice floated as the next secretary of state.
And Petraeus? On Nov. 12, Fox News reported that "congressional leaders," believing Petraeus lied to them in September, had "already considered charging Petraeus with perjury, but said they planned to withhold judgment until he testified this week." (Under oath or not, it is a crime to lie to federal officials.) We have heard no such tough talk since.
Except, that is, from the OIC. While the administration has publicly dropped the video (although its producer is serving one year in jail for "parole violations"), the OIC nations continue to cite it in escalating calls for laws criminalizing "defamation" of Islam. And Uncle Sam continues to lend a sympathetic ear. Just this week, Anne Casper, U.S. consul general in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia, spoke at an OIC symposium on "Defamation of Islam."
Connected? You bet. I submit that the September cycle of Islamic rage, ostensibly over a YouTube video, was another assault in the OIC war on free speech about Islam, which the U.S. has officially joined by co-sponsoring with the OIC the so-called Istanbul Process. Unexpectedly, an al-Qaida terror attack in Benghazi on 9/11/12 threatened to get in the way. That same al-Qaida attack almost blew the lid off the Obama campaign mantra that since Osama bin Laden is dead, so is al-Qaida, and the even greater fakery that Obama's Arab Spring policy is a success.
Another motive of Benghazigate not to be forgotten amid the “sex and betrayal” headlines.

IMHO, Benghazi-Coward Obama chose Susan Rice to be the perfect deflecting smokescreen for his Impeachable blunders in the Benghazi Massacre.
Susan Rice is female, Black, and above all “Had nothing to do with Benghazi.”

The clinton machine is rolling. Since Benghazi happened, I have believed it was a classic clinton op and would have worked had it not been for the unforeseen intervention of the two ex Navy SEALs and Walid Shoebat.
With every day that passes and the extreme stupidity of obama and his ineptness, I have believed it even more. obama has completely bungled this from day one and now enter the pros to clean up his mess.
It was hillary who personally chose Chris Stevens for his position, not obama. This op was set in motion many months ago, very carefully planned to kill several birds with one stone and no one would have been the wiser...but it had to proceed perfectly and it didn’t.
In hindsight, there was an outright OBSESSION by Team 0bama with the 'anti-Islam video' (which hardly ANYONE saw).. Could this point to Saudi Arabia as being the ones to sponsor 0bama's political rise and grooming through our education system, fraudulent birth certificate, social security numbers, selective service card, etc..?
Did 0bama say "the future DOES NOT BELONG to those who slander the Prophet Mohammed" to please his masters?? That has got to be the most FOREIGN thing any U.S. president has ever said, and it was met with little criticism if any. A sick and twisted comment advocating for Sharia Law which is a direct threat to our Constitutional freedoms.

One of the actresses in the film said it originally never mentioned Mohammed. I haven’t studied it but I’ve also read that it’s possible there was overdubbing done to the film AFTERWARDS to replace existing vocals with references to “Mohammed”, etc.. Perhaps the filmmaker was jailed for so long so he wouldn’t talk about what he knows. 1 year in jail for probation violation for a non-violent crime seems excessive.
Not to mention financing...
I am still wondering how anybody in the administration came to know that this farcical video even existed.
I would very much like to know exactly who it was that originally brought up using this video as an "excuse" for Benghazi.
Somewhere there is a connection between the video and the Obama administration.
