Hector Camacho, a boxer known for his lightning-quick hands and flamboyant personality who emerged from a delinquent childhood in New York’s Spanish Harlem to become a world champion in three weight classes, died on Saturday in San Juan, P.R., after being shot while sitting in a parked car. He was 50.

We see it time and again- with football players,rapper’stars’, many sports figures.They come from the thug life and it gets them in the end. Drugs probably had something to do with this. The rough, thug/criminal background is never really escaped-there are always those who know them for what they were,and who will take them out because of their success.
If the only way a man can make money is by brutally beating another man- or getting himself beaten into brain damage-he is to be pitied.
They did find 10 bags of cocaine in his car when he was shot.
No way do we need to have PR become the 51st state. We have enough 3rd world tripe to deal with already in the mainland.
It’s kind of weird how an ex-fighter can be so complacent. You’d think he’d be “switched on” pretty much all the time. To be caught napping like this is not simply tragic - it’s embarrassing.
There you go. No matter how much money, or how ‘out’ of the thug life most get, the ‘friends’ they’ve had find them. Few get far away from what they really are- money/fame or not.
He lived like a thug and died like one.

The shooter never took the cocaine, though. I wonder if the bullet had somebody else’s name on it.
The crime rate in PR is way higher than NYC.
