WHAT I'VE LEARNED FROM LIFE

So sorry "The Back" couldn't just enjoy Thanksgiving like the rest of you.

Evening Ma, had a great Thanksgiving with all the Pro family at my sister's place in Washington. Just got done playing cards and watching a whole lot of football. My beloved Oregon State Beavers lost :-(

How is your family doing? Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. Sorry about Oregon State.

Things are going one day at a time here....my Dad has taken a couple falls, one taking us to the ER. He has a walker, but it is a constant struggle to get him to use it. And pretty much all he wants to do is sleep. This creates a problem as he has been getting up between 4a and 5a and wandering and I’ve caught him making eggs for breakfast. Him cooking is fine, but not without someone as back up to make sure the burner is off, etc, and without his walker, and at 4 in the morning. He seems to think it’s a game at times when I ask him where is his walker.

And right now it is 5F. We only have a little bit of snow.

LOL! Recovery from surgery is going well, except for sleep...I can’t seem to manage much more than an hour or so at a time. I’ll ask my doc at my next appointment.

I don't get here much myself. I think it's called "life". Somedays it's just not possible.

It really is good to 'see' you tho. Did you have a 4 day weekend like the kids or did you take extra time? Hmmm...time...something that is scarce around here...lol.

I cooked a big t-day dinner. Ate early and then went shopping with the daughter, grandson, granddaughter and g-granddaughter...something I haven't done in many years. Luckily, living smalltown rural, the stores weren't crazy like you see on TV. It was quite pleasant.

Marines are doing well. 2 at 29 Palms the other was discharged 2 weeks ago. He's already having background check and all his whatever and will enter the acadamy for the sheriffs dept in March. So, everyone is happy! :)

That is not a good side effect. Are you taking any medications? I don't know when your next appointment is but if it's after Monday, I wouldn't wait...I'd give the doc a call!

I’ve been off anything since the 11th. I’ve never been a good sleeper, but this is worse than normal. I think I might have some Alleve and that has been suggested. Maybe I’ll try that tonight.

My next appt is Dec 4, but I may call.

You don’t want sleep deprivation to set in as that will cause other problems. Taking something as Alleve, Motrin, Naproxin or anything just to get over that hump and perhaps at least a 4-5 hour span of sleep! Good luck!
