Election 2016: Not Bush vs. Clinton, but Palin vs. Biden
Yahoo Voices ^ | November 26, 2012 | Mark R. Whittington

Allahpundit at Hot Air is relating what he thinks may be a nightmare scenario for 2016, the presidential candidacy of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, the brother of one former president and the son of another. It just smacks too much of dynastic politics.

This is especially true if Bush wound up running against Hillary Clinton, the wife of a former president, former senator and soon to be former secretary of state.

There is an alternative, however

So, who do you think would be the best candidate to run against Hillary?

It’s not going to be either Palin or Biden, but we’d better start lining up some viable candidates soon.

No matter who the Dems run after Obama, they’re not going to have the “first (non-American) (half) black” thing going for them, and it doesn’t look to me like the Dems have any good candidates waiting in the wings. The fact that they are floating Michelle Obama for 2016 lets you know what this is all about: a cult of personality.

But we have time to get a few possible candidates out there. Jeb Bush is certainly a possible, so let his defenders support him and see what happens during the primary campaigns (or before - people often start and then drop out). I don’t think Palin is even a possible, because she has not in any way indicated that she wants to run, she let everybody down the last time by dilly-dallying until the last moment to say she wasn’t running but she wasn’t really supporting anybody else, either - and I don’t think we need that type of candidate. In other words, just because we think they should be the candidate...it doesn’t mean they think it too.

So we need a selection of good, fresh and well-presenting candidates (the elderly lame-brain McCain seems to think he’s going to get it again! NO WAY!) and then when primary season rolls around, there will be some real choices. And we have to start now, not by shooting down possibles right out of the box, but by finding and promoting good people.

Rubio, even though I think he would lose. That's why my tag line says: "We are finished."

Hillary is finished, and I think she knows it. Her performance as SOS has been lousy to really lousy, and she is very clearly subservient to Obama and has let him humiliate her on a number of occasions.

It’s a pity, because Rubio would run all over her, although I don’t think he’ll be the candidate because the GOP-e will simply not permit an Hispanic conservative candidate. It’s going to be an elderly white RINO guy again, hopefully not McCain, although he’s angling for it and seems to have emerged as their spokesman.

I think the Clintons are hoping to get at least a Senate seat for their odious daughter Chelsea. I don’t think she’d be old enough to be president, otherwise they’d be trying for that.

But my money’s on Michelle Obama as the Dem candidate.

I think you're on to something, It would be easier than changing term limits for president. And she would be a shoo-in. An Obama dynasty. And the Obama girls can mature in the house and senate, respectively, before they run for prexy too.

Not any more. I forced myself to vote for Dole, McCain, and Romney, I will not force myself to vote for anyone anymore.

I will vote for Hillary before I will vote for Jeb Bush, Rubio, Jindal.

Read it and weep

Let’s be aware of what we’re up against.

Please don’t mis/underestimate the electorate.

I heard from three people just yesterday who are rather in-the-know and the smart money at the moment is for Hillary to run AND win.

Think about it. Obama was finished, couldn’t get reelection, a disaster on the Constitution, freedom of religion (unprecedented), economy and foreign policy by any standard, except that of the liberal half of this country. But he’s back in to inflict so much damage as he possibly can.

If he’s getting away with Benghazi, and he seems to be- she certainly can.

How is Hillary anywhere close to finished on that scale? Plus, she’s an American citizen - bonus.

I know you’ve thougt of this, but, beware of considering Hil. tolerable in light of all others, even and esp the present occupier. She has no shame, so she appears in some way moral. People love her, so she appears in some way good. She would be worse than anyone else imaginable even her good for nothing “husband”.

If by some long shot she gets a SCOTUS nomination would she quit?

I'm wondering when the 'concerned' PDSers are going to quit running that worn out meme.

Joe Biden is Hillary Clinton this time. He's the "front runner" who gets endorsements but is hated by the liberal rank-and-file. He's Muskie or Humphrey or Gephardt or Mondale (or Romney, come to think of it). Somebody younger will beat him -- and that might just create an opening for Hillary Clinton, though I suspect she's very old news by now.

We need Bill Whittle. Please go watch him on YouTube in his recent speeches. He could be a serious candidate.

ELECTION 2016??? Seriously, do you really think your vote or your voice actually has anything to do with who actually sits in the WH?
