G.O.P. Senators Not Satisfied as Rice Concedes Error on Libya

“Neither I nor anyone else in the administration intended to mislead the American people at any stage in the process,” said Ms. Rice, who was accompanied at the 10 a.m. meeting by the acting director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Michael J. Morell.

But Mr. Morell reinforced the perception of an administration that cannot get its story straight by asserting during the meeting that the F.B.I. had modified Ms. Rice’s talking points by removing a specific reference to Al Qaeda. At 4 p.m., the senators said in a statement, the C.I.A. called to notify them that Mr. Morell had erred, and that the agency had made the change, not the bureau.

“We are disturbed by the administration’s continued inability to answer even the most basic questions about the Benghazi attack and the administration’s response,” the senators said.

Soooo.... at the meeting in the AM today, acting director Morell attempts to throw the FBI inder the bus claiming that it was the FBI who twisted the talking points...but then at 4:00 PM "the CIA" (which supposedly reports to Morell) calls "the senators" and says Morell didn't know what he was talking about and that it was the CIA that made the change, not the FBI.

Even the NY Times is so disgusted that they report this straight up!

The current default talking point of the regime in defense fo Rice is “the intelligence community” changed her talking points.

Guess who is part of “the intelligence community”? Eric Holder by way of the FBI reporting to him.

Now, for a few hours today, we have the CIA acting director Morell fingering “the FBI.” But I thought that the DNI had said that the change was made in HIS shop...after saying he didn't have a clue when meeting with senators just before Thanksgiving.

So the blame when from nowhere, to the DNI, to the FBI this AM, but now back to the CIA this afternoon!

Even MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell today was doing some straight up coverage of the real story which she pointed out was why were the Benghazi mission and the ambassador inadequately protected before the attack?

you’re right, and sadly America in this last election said as a colelctive whole “WE don’t care if the left lies to us, we want free things, and we wil lreelect thsi liar and his lyign staff’- Americans voted Evil into office while kicking God out at the same time- I was shocked that this coutnry would vote a blatant LIAR back into office- and voted to legalize drugs and gay marriage in several states (and soon to be in every state)— it was a VERY sad day indeed to discover that thsi country DOES NOT CARE about morality any longer, and that they prefer a LIAR to be president instead of someoen who was at least morally somewhat upright- The current president did NOTHING he claiemd he woudl do for 4 years- he ran aroudn playing games- golf, basketball- partying- spendign the people’s money left and right- LIED constantly- trampeld our cosntitutional rights- bullied our supreme courts attacked religion etc etc etc- and STILL this country voted him back into office? It's hard to see where it matters to anyone, including the initially gung-ho for the truth reporters, like Jennifer Griffin of Fox. More than anything, what I can't understand is the complete silence of the 30+ survivors who lived because of a few men who died for them. Were I, or anyone I know or care to know, in their position, there is absolutely nothing that could buy my silence.

And what are we to make of the silence from the family members of those who died? In the early daysof the unfolding scandal and cover-up, Charles Woods, father of murdered SEAL Tyrone Woods, was on every radio talk show and Fox News program demanding answers. Where did he go?
