This a low water crossing as best as I can determine. Thus I suspect people come and go at will today. Not that is okay. This location is some 140 miles or so from Fort Stockton or Marfa Texas which both have Patrol stations.

The wife and I visited Big Bend last month. We were at one overlook where you could see people on the other side of the Rio Grande and wave at them if you want to. You can actually hear them talking.
