Good news!

Lynn-DAH is much, much better.

I now know what caused her terrible coughing and choking, as it showed up in this morning’s “business”.

Seems she has been licking her own fur a wee bit too much. Gotta cancel the vet visit and give baby a stern lecture about personal hygiene. She iz NOT a Kitteh and should not ACT like one.

WELCOME TO THE

(where our troops, allies and their families can refresh themselves)

Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our

Military, our Allies, and their families.

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today's activities
Another nice visit with the troops.
Man, that Bellows Backdrop picture is way beautiful!
Added to my collection.

DC METROLAND WEATHER

~ Today...Plentiful sunshine. High 51F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

~ Tonight... Mostly clear. Low 31F. Winds light and variable.

SOUP FOR THE TROOPS

Making Z Zoup
A sprinkle of this...a splash of that...

Henry Waterman invented the modern elevator in 1850.
He intended it to transport barrels of flour.

Mountain goats grow luxurious winter coats
— more than three inches of cashmere-quality wool,
overlaid with long hollow hairs.
The hardy animals can endure winter temperatures
as low as minus 50 degrees F,
and powerful winds up to 100 miles per hour.

Americans consume more than
10 billion bowls of soup each year.
(we loves our soups)

The celebration of the new year
is the oldest of all holidays.
It was first observed in ancient Babylon
about 4,000 years ago. In the years
around 2000 B.C., Babylonians celebrated the beginning
of a new year on what is now March 25,
although they themselves had no written calendar.

Sorry gang but I have to post and run.
I'm behind schedule again
and boss man had been in my office already.

The FR Canteen is ALWAYS

Gotta go for now.
But, I'll check pings on my return.
Please stay right where you are.
Keep the troops entertained and the Canteen clean...
Cause...if you don't...I'll tell Ma!

Well, we had the lights here at the house flicker a couple of times this morning and I thought we were going to lost power at some point.

Not sure what's going with that. It's not quite as cool this morning. They're forecasting near 70 for a high today.
