City Attorney of Bankrupt San Bernardino: 'Lock Your Doors and Load Your Guns'
Breitbart ^ | 11/30/12 | Bretibart News

Posted on 11/30/2012 11:06:55 AM PST by Nachum

City attorney of San Bernardino Jim Penman had the audacity to tell the truth to the residents of bankrupt San Bernardino at a recent city council meeting. Taking stock of the fact that San Bernardino’s murder rate has jumped 50 percent over the last year, that the city has been cutting its police force by about 80 officers, and that there is no good news in sight, Penman stated, “lock your doors and load your guns.” He stands by the statement today, explaining, “you should say what you mean and mean what you say.”

Penman continued, “Let’s be honest, we don’t have enough police officers. We have too many criminals living in this city. We have had 45 murders this year…that’s far too high for a city of this size …. I’m not advocating that people go out, who don’t have any training, and buy firearms. I certainly strongly caution anyone who has children at home not to have a loaded gun in the house.”

Life in the USA is just one crisis away from barbarism. We’re on our own here, guys! We can’t count on the gov to guarantee a safe civilization. In fact, they do their best to make us revert to barbarism.

What are the citizens of San Bernadino’s gun rights? Castle Doctrine? CCW? Who has more guns in this municipality, citizens or crooks?

Communities are going to have to revert to a citizen constabulary. Local folks need to patrol and report problems to a cadre of volunteer cops. If it works for fire departments, why not policing?

...gun rights? Castle Doctrine? CCW?.."

None of that matters when law and order break down and feral humans are wondering the streets looking for their Gov checks or your food and money. You will know what needs to be done.

Citizen constables. Wonder if they can inquire immigration status? Oh silly me, they are busy working on an amnesty in DC. Guess there will not be illegals here much longer...

Why don’t they just deputize ordinary citizens, I’m sure there would be plenty of volunteers.....

That’s how it used to be, over a hundred years ago.
Then, we got “professional” police forces and the citizenry was expected to cower behind locked doors (as evidenced).

Back then, every man was expected to take up arms in defense of himself, his family, his property and his neighbors, if need be.

It was called “civic duty”.
Now it’s called “vigilantism” and “taking the law into your own hands”.

He was doing surprisingly well up til this barfable bit of pc kowtowing :

I certainly strongly caution anyone who has children at home not to have a loaded gun in the house

Surely the guy's children will (posthumously) forgive daddy for their having died while he was searching for bullets to protect them from the bad men that night . . .

Seems the City Attorney has picked the "law Abiding Citizen" side.

I wonder which side the rest of the Public "Servants" will pick?

California has made most of its citizens criminals with the silly laws that have been passed the past couple of decades. Therefore, there are more guns in Kalifornia now, then can be counted. Many of them highly illegal to own. There was a recent case where a Cuban with long time connections to the Bay of Pigs had thousands of guns just in his home. It was located near San Bernardino. Riverside I think.
