Do you hate everybody in Washington OR the Tea Party?

Unclear antecedant. My animus is directed toward Washington, D.C. -- not the Tea Party.

I can’t watch Fox News much anymore, largely because of the talking heads it employs. It’s time the channel sheds the usual pundits and contributors and brings in some new blood. A few real conservatives would be preferable.

However, given who owns Fox, I doubt any change will ever happen.

They are both neo-conservatives. In other words, they are old school Democrats.

They, old school Democrats, were supplanted in their party by Marxists. The old school Democrats who couldn’t put up with Marxists are now called Republicans.

Old fashioned conservative Republicans are an endangered species. There is Rand Paul, Jim Demint, Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, and that’s about it. Oh, and a few Freepers. And that is definitely it.

Some of the posters here are far too wild in attacking imperfections in allies.

Understatement of the year. Too many folks here spend too much ammo shooting at allies instead of the enemy.

I am convinced that no one in the Washington establishment wants to see the government contracted --- to get smaller. It is not in their interests even if it is to the greater good.

I am convinced you are absolutely correct.

If Jews want to defend Israel, then they can pony up the money to do it themselves. It isn’t the problem of the US taxpayer.

I'm not a Jew, (or a Fundamentalist Christian for that matter looking for Armageddon) but I'll gladly pony up my money to defend Israel. They are the only outpost of civilization in that hell hole of a region, and I think it is important to all people who love civilization they they survive.

In a sense, Israel today is on the front line between civilization and barbarism.

Think about it.

Not just government "workers", Obama defines the middle class as all unionized (overpaid & readily controlled) labor.
He sees the historic middle class of people who actually create jobs, take risks, and make decisions, as the evil rich or at least the evil "wealthy enough".

Yes, I remember Krauthammer being downright appalled at the “town hall protests,” basically saying how undignified it was and how it would backfire on the Republicans. Ditto for the “tea party.”

I don't remember this. I do, however, remember reading Krauthammer's columns on how the Tea Party had brought so much energy to the GOP that it had opened up an "enthusiasm gap" over the Democrats. I also remember Krauthammer praising the fact that huge Tea Party gatherings were filled with well-behaved, informed citizens who didn't engage in violence or vandalize buildings, unlike the "Occupy" types.

I'm not sure why there's so much hostility toward Krauthammer - the fact is that he's presented the conservative cause to the American public and argued for limited government far more effectively than either of the last two GOP nominees.

When you boil it all down, it’s not so much left vs right, nor liberal vs conservative, nor even Democrat vs Republican, it’s Washington vs the rest of us

Yes exactly. It is sort of a elitist east coast style thing. We need some conservatives who can put on airs, act sort of snooty and refined and preach our message but on the surface look like a DC insider. Getting on these shows is another question. Whether it makes us puke is irrelevant. Play their game and infiltrate in a sneaky less direct way.

Hayek dedicated the The Road Serfdom to"the socialist in all parties"

Pretty much says it all.

Oh, Krauthammer became more open and complementary towards the tea party movement... eventually. But not at first. He grimaced at both it and the earlier town hall protests, stating (on Bret Baier’s show) how terrible and unseemly they were, and that they would backfire and harm the Republicans in the eventual 2010 midterms. That’s what I mean about his blind-spot, when it comes to outside-the-beltway, grassroots conservatism.

That shouldn’t be seen as hostility from me. He’s interesting and informative on a number of issues. I generally like to hear his input. Well maybe the Palin “death panels” incident, when he said she should “leave the room,” he did come across in a sort of cluelessly jerky way. Especially when he just wound up repeating the same exact things from the Facebook page! Seemed quite obnoxiously elitist. That came across pretty bad. He certainly lost some points with me there. Can’t deny that.

I have thought about it.

And my take is as I stated. The majority of Jews in the US don’t like Christians, they don’t like conservatives, they don’t like the US military, they don’t serve in the US military and the vast majority of US Jews vote for a political party that wants to defang Israel.

So... why should we put up with the political abuse that comes with supporting Israel? If the Arabs want to kill the Jews, hey, it’s a Jewish problem. Not mine. If American Jews decide to get their heads out of their posteriors on the issue and ask for help, well then we might talk again.

But I’ve long since reached the limits of my patience with the abuse heaped on conservatives by American Jews for their support of Israel.

One more time: If the Arabs want to kill the Jews... it’s a Jewish problem.

There's no doubt Krauthammer is a Beltway elitist. But on the Tea Party he proved more open-minded and open to persuasion than most of the GOP, which never stops trying to marginalize grass-roots conservatives. And he does a much better job of making the case for limited government and making the case against Obama than most of the GOP.

* Hopefully none of my former classmates will see this and call be disloyal for not supporting the one who west to my school eyars before. Screw taht. I knew Ben Rhodes in high school and thought him arrogant then and worse today. Always sucking up to asinine liberalism, and never once thinking for himself.

It’s on the same clip.

He said Boehner offered ubama a compromise and ubama told him to hand over his sword, his shirt and ultimately his trousers and that is a humiliating position for Boehner to be in.

Boehner is such a loser

When did that happen? The only time I saw him commenting on it extensively he was saying it made no logical sense and that it even contradicted itself in places.
