Do you recall the furor surrounding Prudhomme’s Lost Cajun Kitchen, a Pennsylvania-based restaurant, this past summer? The establishment has been offering a 10 percent discount for individuals who bring in a church bulletin on Sundays. Citing this action as discriminatory, John Wolff, a local atheist, filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC). Now, the restaurant will be forced to offer discounts to any individual who brings in a pamphlet involving religious faith — including atheism.

To continue offering its discount, Prudhomme’s Lost Cajun Kitchen must now honor literature that comes from any religious institution, The Christian Post reports. This includes secular bulletins from the Freedom From Religion Foundation, an atheist activist non-profit, and faith-based documents pertaining to Judaism, Islam and other religions on Sundays.

A one-line statement from the state human relations commission summarized these ideals: ”Respondent will continue to give a discount for any bulletin from any group oriented around the subject of religious faith, including publications from the Freedom From Religion Foundation, as long as they maintain the Sunday discount program.”

When did private individuals lose the right to discriminate?

They should stop the discount altogether. Do not collude with the evil perpetrated by the depraved State.

(When did private individuals lose the right to discriminate?)

You obviously didn’t get the memo. When liberals discriminate, it’s called “freedom of choice”. When conservatives do it, it’s “discrimination”.

Restaurants are a "public accommodation." Ever since the Civil Rights acts of the 60's. Remember the "lunch counter" sit-ins? No, maybe you don't.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"

Remember when that meant something.

Tell the judge to shove it up his smelly Obama.

Even this geek who has no intellectual respect for the joke that is our legal system, thinks this should mean war.

How about we allow some Hell’s Angels to guard the doors.

They have infinitely more class and morals than that idiot atheist and we will all enjoy what they do to that Obamahole.

Senior discount? Ladies night? Student discount? Military discount? Employee discounts?

Don’t they all discriminate against against those who are not in those categories? So what. It is a business decision by the seller.

From what I understand, the complainer has never been to the restaurant. Why does he even have legal standing to file the complaint? What was he denied?

Restaurants are a "public accommodation." So I guess that means senior citizen discounts must go, kids, discounts, and any other discount that can be seen as discriminatory against a particular group? What about store that require removal of hoods, shades, hoodies, etc before entering? What about restaurants that require men to wear jackets and ties?

Whatever happened to the concept of "We reserve the right to refuse service."

Athiests can get the discount also - all they need to do is bring in a church bulletin. I guess the government’s fear is that the atheist, in obtaining a bulletin, might hear the word of God.
