Politically, the man stands for nothing, likes nothing, and has a miserable life, displaying it daily in his posting. I'd call that the farthest thing from astute. If the GOP had more people like him in charge they'd be as popular as one of the lesser libertarian parties (I'm not implying the GOP is wonderful, don't get me wrong, far from it.).

I do understand your position, and it's a sad state we have come to. I would urge you to not give up, there are still some fine women who want what's true and right (and yes, they are harder to find, but it was never easy), if you find one and are mature enough to handle the give and take of marriage, it's a wonderful thing.

“I call it the “do over” family. Sometimes this even takes the form of loving the step-children and step-grandchildren of the new wife more than his blood children and grandchildren of the first wife. There is no heart in this brave new world.”

That’s just wrong, period.

And I'm experienced enough to know that his chief problem with women is that he can't handle not getting his own way.

To me, this signals a problem. Rush is a multi-millionaire international celebrity. If he can't even find a woman who can be supportive of him instead of demanding, then who among us can? It is laughable that some young woman coming from nowhere would marry a guy like Rush and feel entitled thereafter to have things all her way, but such is the entitlement mentality these days. Feminism has taught women to be disrespectful and condescending to men. My only question for Rush is why he doesn't just give up on the marriage thing and just find a good hobby.

RE :” Typical misanthropic response from the most miserable, desperate, life hating sicko on FR.
Living your days hating everything, standing for nothing, pathetically whining is no way to liv”

Standing for nothing?? That reminds me.

It was the sweetest justice when your fellow Palinista bully Norm Lenhart turned on you and tried to get you zotted just this year, after previously seeing you two rove together pulling crap like above. (Was it because he realized that you were a closet Romney-bot?)
He was one of your closest bully buddies so watching him turn on you was truly a joy to see. It shows that the bad guys like YOU some times get what they reap.

I see you havent changed your act.

RE :”Politically, SOL is very astute. If his posts are negative, well, he doesn't leave much meat on the bone. Personally, I appreciate that. If the GOP had more folks like SOL in charge of strategy, they wouldn't blow elections like they do.”

Thanks, as you know I post unpleasant sounding truths.

LS is just a 'follow the gang(cult)' guy nothing more.
If the current fad is Palin then he joins that gang.
If the current fad is Romney then he joins that gang.

He just repeats whatever he thinks the dominating clique act is so he can do his bully act to anyone not drinking his koolaid, and who posts original thoughts.

But occasionally there is sweet ironic justice and that is when one of his past gang turns on him and tries to get him zotted.

I get very little grief here for posting my original thoughts, but there are always the sharky's hiding in shadows looking for that next cult to join.

Yep. Serving the sh*t sandwich isn’t a fun task..

Sharky’s Palinista gang got in a tizzy because last year I kept posting ‘Mark my words she is not running’ starting that spring, and she wasnt.

It was way too obvious to me, but a threat to them.

That was before they split in to two groups and (some) started attacking each other over Romney this year, that was a priceless show to watch, ‘

I stayed out of it and just lurked, they didnt need my helping making fools of each other.

I was in my early-mid twenties at the time. The church I was going to then had some strange views on dating as well. I went to a brunch after Sunday morning service with one woman from the same church. Same age. During the evening service I got taken aside by one of the deacons and was lectured that I did the same as shacking up.

Thanks for sharing that.

Here's one from my past:

One evening at Bible study, the youth minister quoted from Genesis 26:8-9 to state that young men should treat their girlfriends exactly as they would treat their sisters. I don't think a young man who sees a girlfriend as being exactly like his sister would want to marry her. Such was the teaching at this church.

It's not a bad thing for a man to have had sex with many women

Great way to leave a string of broken hearts behind, plus pick up a lot of sexually transmitted diseases, many of which are (a) asymptomatic in the male, (b) incurable, and can lead to (c) infertility and (d) death in the female.

You are right, Mamzelle. Either they marry a person to be their mate and mother of their children or they marry an age. At a certain point, (unlike Rush) the man better have a ton of money to stand on to appear desirable. What 20 year old is going to be interested in a forty year old unless he can provide like a king?

I had to chuckle at your post, TexasFreeper. If my Mom had her way, I wouldn’t have married my husband (of 22 years). I wouldn’t have had the three wonderful children I have now. To be quite honest, the guy she wanted me to marry.. well, it wouldn’t have worked out. He may have been the right “son in law” for her BUT he wouldn’t have been the right husband for me. Just my opinion.

What an odd response. I honestly am not the least bit interested in attempting to make any sense of your post.

Very very strange.

RE :” If the GOP had more folks like SOL in charge of strategy, they wouldn't blow elections like they do.”

What makes you think that the cultists want to win elections?
I mean I know they claim will will all die if Rs don't win but you have to read between the lines. Why do they always rally around losing strategies?

Jim Jones had to make his followers truly believe that everyone was against them and wanted to kill them. that is the only way that he could get them to move to Guyana and then drink that Koolaid. “All is lost, We did everything right but we lost anyway. Everyone is against us. There is no hope for us”, that was the day after election not Jones:

Although in this case they first say ‘everyone is with us’ and then later say ‘everyone is against us’, then back again. That way you can break their will and they will believe ANYTHING.

See you on another specific topic thread :)

Men: ever wonder why it's your responsibility to be awake enough to "put the seat down," but it's not her responsibility to be awake enough to check before being seated......?

A very large dog makes the point moot. Been over a decade since I've let another human live in the house, but I still put the seat down. And the lid down. Dogs just don't understand it's not a drinking bowl.

I honestly am not the least bit interested in attempting to make any sense of your post.

But the fact you DID take the time to respond to my comment is a quality known as "petulance."

It's all very well to be critical of SeekAndFind's perspective, but who could possibly be expected taken seriously for questioning YOUR perspective?

A very large dog makes the point moot.

Perhaps for you, but the rest of us poor bastards have to live with them. And as long as women continue to capitalize on their generally superior verbal skills for the purpose of bludgeoning us into compliance, the point is anything but moot.

Like ill mannered children, when they get their own way long enough, they fall into the mistake of functionally believing their preferences and opinions are "right by definition," and actually become hostile when you won't agree with them.

Congratulations Irish Eyes. When we celebrated our 50th my husband was recovering from open heart surgery so we had a small gathering of 50 relatives and friends and had it at our favorite restaurant. We had a fabulous time. For our 55th we are having an even smaller group of about 15 relatives. WE are so grateful to have had all these wonderful years together.
