PORT OF HUENEME, Calif. (KABC) -- A member of the U.S. Coast Guard was killed in the line of duty when his boat was rammed by a drug smuggler's craft.
Law enforcement sources told ABC News that the Coast Guard intercepted two boats - a pleasure craft and a small panga boat - near San Clemente Island in Santa Barbara County at about 1 a.m. Sunday. The panga, which was operated by Mexican Nationals, was carrying marijuana.
According to initial reports, the Coast Guard took the pleasure craft into custody and detained two people on board. Then, the Coast Guard cutter crew lowered its smaller boat into the water to take custody of those aboard the panga boat.
As the Coast Guard's small boat approached the panga, the driver of the panga rammed it and drove over the top of the Coast Guard boat, killing 34-year-old Terrell Horne III of Redondo Beach and injuring another agent.

They should get the Death Penalty but in California that guarantees the perps will outlive the victims’ families.

The Coast Guard should have shot the mexiclowns.
I believe killing Coasties qualifies as a Federal crime, and has nothing to do with California laws. Federal law allows for capital punishment of homocides.
Even though I would have preferred the Coast Guard to have sunk the panga with all aboard and done nothing to aid the stricken craft, I expect the crminals will be executed by the Feds. If the Mexican government starts whining, I say start executing.
I do not care that the Mexican government disapproves of capial punishment. Kill here in the U.S.A., froeign national murderers go home in pine boxes.

Now they all should be charged with murder and attempted murder even the aholes in the pleasure boat that was obviously picking up from the drop boat.
Anything less than the death penalty (and within 30 days) gives aid and comfort to the enemy. But Traitorobama has been giving aid and comfort to the enemy for the last four years, so don't expect much else from sycophant Coast Guard leaders.
