True, but Stalin did defend the USSR from foreign enemies.

If a Soviet ambassador had been murdered on his watch...
there would be consequences.

[CHAMBLISS - see Websters = spineless RINO] When I heard his little confession on the radio about taxes, I blew up and sent him one smoking hot email telling him I'd vote against him the first chance I got.

I told him I didn't care about his "love" of HIS country. His country is the country club of the Senate; it isn't my country.

Here's what the double talking spineless little shit sent back:

Dear [Gaffer]:

Thank you for your correspondence regarding our government's fiscal challenges, and specifically about my views on taxation. Your taking the time to contact me is appreciated.

In recent days there has been significant discussion in the press about my position on taxes and tax reform. In spite of speculation to the contrary, my position has not changed and my comments have been consistent and unwavering. I hope to take this opportunity to set the record straight.

I am not in favor of raising taxes. Raising taxes to pay for reckless overspending is bad policy, and I have never, nor will I ever, advance the idea that raising tax rates is an acceptable option for dealing with our deficit spending.

That being said, with the rapidly approaching "fiscal cliff," there is much discussion in Washington and around the country about our debt, deficit, federal spending, and tax rates. We also cannot forget that beyond the impact of the fiscal cliff, our nation is still burdened with a $16 trillion debt that must not be left to simply grow and fester without immediate and significant action.

There are no simple solutions and everything must be on the table. While parts of the tax code provide equitable economic incentives, many of them do not. The current tax code has become burdensome and complex and filled with provisions which only benefit a limited portion of Americans, at the expense of higher rates for all Americans.

As such, in addition to reducing discretionary spending, reforming entitlements, simplifying the individual and corporate tax code, and lowering tax rates, we should remove unproductive tax expenditures. This is a proven path to prosperity that President Reagan enabled in the mid-1980s and if done correctly, can provide us with a platform for growth that will help federal revenues rise naturally through economic prosperity. A robust economy simply creates more economic activity and more revenue without raising taxes.

Ultimately, my pledge is to protect taxpayers, not special interests. We must analyze every aspect of the federal budget, including the tax code. As my voting record demonstrates, I don't believe taking more money out of the pockets of hard-working Americans is the right approach for our country.

In summation, I have consistently stated that, due to my conservative principles, I am not in favor of tax increases. I have also consistently said I am in favor of significant tax reform to lower tax rates and generate additional revenues. Those reforms should be on the table in this debt and deficit debate. However, this would only be acceptable in return for entitlement reforms from the other side that truly fix our long-term spending problem.

If you would like to receive timely email alerts regarding the latest congressional actions, including the fiscal cliff, and my weekly e-newsletter, please sign up via my website at: www.chambliss.senate.gov. Please let me know whenever I may be of assistance.

Luck is for fools and cheaters. Actually, a quisling Senator like Chambliss is very vulnerable to dissent from people like me who think he's a spineless RINO.

Imagine how the AJC or WSB TV, or Atlanta-centered CNN would react to a well-funded challenge to him by some real conservative that could highlight this RINOs duplicity and disloyalty to conservative American.

They'd lick their nasty chops and give all the air time his challenger wanted because they're on the lookout for a supermajority in the Senate for the Democrats.

For my part, it's worth the gamble to keep the fraggers out of the bunker even if it means making the Democrats evern stronger - we won't ever get strong with RINOs like Chambliss.

So....free advertising for his opponent - negative press for him, more money for his opponent.......As my daddy used to say, because he was fond of Italian cooking, he'd be “fricasseed” [my daddy used to love that Italian Chicken Fricasse]

Why are people leaving the Dems and GOP for Independent statue? Because the two party system is broken. It must be reformed ans the new Liberty Party is just the prescription. Even the threat of such a party is good! the GOP dumped the Tea Party People from the committees today—What does that tell you?

Any political movement with the name “Liberty” in it gives me the hives.

That's sad.

But in one case, I'm with you:

except to infiltrate the Democrat party with the goal of moving it to the right?

Exactly how they defeated the republican party, became republicans (rino) and killed us from within.

Every conservative in the House, if there really is one, should change party affiliation, then let Boehner figure out what happened.

Most here talk about freedom, but few have really experienced it. Life is really hard, but freedom is really great.

There’s no differance between the Blue Team and the Red Team, time to form a new Party so guys like me can vote for a Conservative candidate...

Guys like you had that option in November. Yet the 'vote for the R' crowd here had no interest in voting for a conservative. They voted for Romney, and helped the elite that posters here now say they despise to gain a death grip on the Republican Party.
