Unthinkable. A cataclysmic disaster. The end of America as we know it.
That pretty much sums up how millions of Americans regard the re-election of Barack Obama.
Already, the White House website displays petitions from all 50 states bearing the names of hundreds of thousands of distraught citizens demanding their state secede from the union. States likewise are targeting the Obama administration with a major nullification movement. Meanwhile, Republicans engage in media blame-fests, denouncing each other for their devastating failure Nov. 6, while liberal pundits – pretending to offer them helpful advice – counsel Republicans to abandon their core values and move further to the left to gain more voters.
But amidst all of this sound and fury, the big question remains: What do the tens of millions of Americans – those who see Obama’s re-election as the national catastrophe it really is – do now? With four more years of the Obama juggernaut, with government still spending amounts of money only physicists can comprehend, with an average of 68 new regulations being imposed on Americans every single day, with devastating economic meltdown imminent and the world daily becoming a far more dangerous place because of the U.S. president’s scandalous failure of leadership, what can and should right-thinking people do now?

I’m slowly starting to come around to the painful opinion that a country that would elect and reelect a cretin like this deserves whatever comes to it. Sometimes people just need to learn their lessons the hard way.
Only when the water from my faucet flows with grape koolaid would I ever believe that.

The problem is, what is given up by the people in order to learn those lessons, may be lost forever.

No. Add in a leaderless GOP and its clear we have already passed the
point of no return.

It is indeed sad to think that one with a superior education would stoop to become a politician.
(It should be a high calling, but given the “things” we currently have at top positions, I’m afraid that a purge would be a very rational choice.)

WWI. WWII. Civil War — states at literal war with one another. Lincoln assassinated in the aftermath. There was a good chance the Republic would never recover. Great Depression. Far more trying times than these. Few Americans understand genuine poverty and hopelessness.
Maybe weakness has spread from the left into the right.

If the question is “can America AS WE HAVE KNOWN IT survive another 4 years of Obama and leftist policies”, then no.
We will survive, but it will be at the price of a lower standard of living (perhaps lasting for generations) and less individual freedom due to enhanced governmental control/power. How much of a drop in standard of living? How much of a loss of freedom? How much governmental control? All we have to do is look at the nations of Europe to see the answers.
In the short term (next 10 years), most people will not even notice what has happened.
Doubtful.
We've never been taken over from within, and this is a bunch of PC, Marxist, racist, America hating total incompetents at fixing anything except agrandizing their own power.
Can we survive the PARASITES that put him there!
The US is already dead. Past saving, even on the erroneous assumption that it is worth saving, which I am of the opinion it is not.
My daughter and 2 of her cousins are productive members of society. All the other cousins are worthless leeches that do nothing, collect benefits, have babies and mooch off parents.
Something like 2 (or 3) to 1 mooches to producers. One has had 7 illegitimate children that the state has taken away (eventually). And these are people that have been supposedly raised middle class.
And every damn one of them thinks we all owe them everything they want.
We are outnumbered, getting more so by the day. It is mathematically impossible for the US to ever return to productive prosperity. The time to prepare is running out.
The great depression in America happened when people were more civil and disciplined. The hungry mobs are not going to wait in bread lines they will just take what they need because most will be barbaric. The obamaites have never starved. They are in for a shock!
Heck, I can remember when I used to think a million dollars was some serious money.
Its already finished....the Constitutional Freedoms required for individual productivity and wealth creation form God’s gifts have LONG been gone....the debt level is testament to this.
The ability to continue to incur debt has papered this over...but as soon as military sequestration goes through...and the rest of the world realizes we can no longer project military stability-just as with the Fall of Rome-our interest rates will smoke...and end the debt masquerade.
