Is America still a Center-Right Nation? Voting Patterns Say It Isn't
Forbes ^ | 12/04/2012 | Bill Flax

The Eighties action flick Red Dawn has been redone. It’s preposterous that Soviet Russia’s dilapidated economy, let alone North Korea in the remake, could marshal sufficient logistical capacity to project more than a token force across an ocean. Given the Communist Party USA’s ecstatic response to Barrack Obama’s re-election, Democrats may be succeeding where the Red Army dared not tread.

CPUSA’s Sam Webb gloats, “The Communist Party said a year ago that the 2012 elections would be the main front of the class and democratic struggle, and subsequent events have confirmed that fact... Had Romney won the Presidency and the Republicans the Congress, it would have accelerated to warp drive a capitalist class counterrevolution – a reversal of seventy years of social progress.”

Is America still Center-Right? We sure don’t vote that way. Neither party respects limited government. The presidential race pitted a moderate Republican against a radical whose upbringing, his writings, his associations and numerous unscripted statements reveal far left inklings.

This center/right nation fiction is being exposed for what it is; wishful thinking. This election has shown that.

People have been brainwashed and made comfortable living in a fantasy bubble. When the economy collapses many will still be in denial about basic math and everything else.

It really is a mental disorder. I took a stab at figuring this out in post 13 of this thread:

What’s happened in the USA since the 1950s is nothing short of astounding. We are in rapid decline here & in the West in general that is historic.

“Center right” is always such an odd description, since it implies some determination of center other than the country’s center of voting or political sentiment.

And, of course, it implies that the somehow determined ‘center’ is to the left of what the people, on average, believe.

So it is itself, some result of leftist propagandizing.

America is definitely a center right nation. Stop with this hogwash. It’s self-defeating. Obama was re-elected by a massive disinformation and propaganda campaign that would make Joseph Goebbels blush. First, Romney was utterly destroyed early in the year and never really recovered. Second, a disinformation campaign blaming the economy on Bush was going on relentlessly all summer and fall. Many polls out in recent weeks show the following: the public favors reducing the deficint by cuting spending over tax cuts, the public is opposed to Obamacare more than ever, Hispanic voters in Illinois are against same sex marriage and abortion. The nation still polls 40 percent conservative, 20 percent liberal, with the independents arrayed in favor of conservatism.

We are being beat with the corrupt media and the passion that comes from Leftists who think they are on a mission from God, even thought they don’t believe in God. We must work to utterly destroy them. Instead we have quisling Republicans who can’t even cross the street without getting run over by a bus. Leadership and principle matters. We don’t have either. We do have the winning formula in terms of what we believe. So, stop with the hand-wringing and defeatism.

For starters, conservatives need to buy up at least half the lamestream media. One channel, Fox, is not enough. We need ABC or CBS plus NBC. We need We have the Wall Street Journal, more or less. We need the Washington Post or New York Times or Chicago Tribune or Los Angeles Times — at least 2 of those.

Conservatives need to take over colleges or found more new ones that are relentlessly conservative. Public schools must be uttlery destroyed and replaced with a voucher system. Conservatives need to buy studios and invest time and efffort into an enterainment complex that re-inforces conservative values. Churches need to become even more active. The reaction of Christains in Santa Monica to the ban on the nativity is great example of what can be done. Now there is a better live nativity in the park and an alternative permanent nativity on private private.

Fight, fight, fight, fight. With all your strength and might. Fight, fight, fight. Kill the enemey (figuratively of course unless this comes to bullets). Kill the enemey. Kill the enemy.

“America IS a center-right nation, BEFORE the votes get COUNTED.”

That just isn’t true; the demographic nightmare has come to fruition decades before it was expected (as reported by the media, which didn’t want to start a panic or reaction). American taxpayers might be fiscal conservatives, but even many of them are social liberals. While abortion is ugly enough that many won’t even openly admit supporting it, ask Americans what they think about divorce. You wouldn’t be surprised; most support it. Nothing conservative there.

“Entitlements are like crack. The center and left of this country have become addicted.”

Welfare recipients in the United States have a better standard of living than 95% of the people on the planet. They also vote as a block for the party that provides their benefits. The block is large enough to swing elections.

What more does the 21st Century urban dweller need than an apartment, food, clothing, health care, unlimited state paid birth control/abortion, free state controlled eduction, a cell phone, and a wide screen television to receive propaganda?

Welfare recipients have all of the above. The state is now determined through taxation and job eliminating trade policies to lower the middle class to the same standard of living as the urban entitlement class.

Equality is a wonderful thing!

will the last conservative cracker please push the red button on the way out

Hopefully, that will launch what's left of our ICBM's, SLBM's and B-52's. When I was a kid, I thought the only thing that would end this country, or at least give it a serious setback was a full nuclear exchange with the USSR. Instead, we got some pretenda from kenya, a stealth mooselimb in the White Hut voted in by the moochers and deadbeats. Maybe this sounds twisted, but seeing us go in a full nuclear exchange is more merciful, at least for the survivors, it would give them a kick in the butt to learn libertarian and conservative values fast. I admit I lean libertarian on many things. Perhaps you can get most Americans, except progressives, to agree on 80% of things, but it's the last 20% that is the problem. Not everyone will agree on everything on religious values, even our Founding Fathers knew that. I don't speak for every libertarian and I have a few disagreements with them but I think where they are right on is we have too much of a welfare state. If one does the wrong thing, they do not have to be responsible or accountable, Big Daddy Uncle Sam will take care of them. First, we need to personally teach our own values to our kids, like we used to, and cross our fingers and hope it works, which it did most of the time. Also, we need to eliminate welfare to the point where if one is truly disabled, it is there, beyond that, make them work and be held accountable for it. Some people just have to learn by getting burned, if they do something wrong, hold them responsible and accountable. Have a child, be held responsible for him/her and so on.

Can't you just imagine this was the scene with Obama and his Commie staff after stealing the election through voter fraud- while Conservatives blame Romney, argue, point fingers, blather on about who to run in four years, 'starting a new party', and try to figure out how to suck up to minorities the 'next time'?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Map from Barack Obama Voter Fraud 2012

What most refuse to acknowledge is that it was unlikely that ANYBODY could have beaten the voter fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama machine. They seem to prefer pointing fingers, blaming Romney and blathering on about who to run in 2016 and how to suck up to the minorities.

>Polls indicated that Romney was going to win the election.

>The economy is close to Great Depression era conditions, and unemployment is almost as high as when Obama entered office.

>Economic conditions became so dire after Obama took office it prompted the rise of an entire new movement, the Tea Party.

>Presidents rarely win reelection when the economy is in the tank.

>Mitt knew it too, when he was met by several thousand in that parking garage cheering him when he arrived unannounced at that airport, and he put his hand over his heart and said, 'This is how you know you've won'.

So how did Romney lose a race that numerous reputable polls and pundits predicted would be an easy win, based on historical patterns?

Massive voter fraud.

That and no other reason

Almost every major Conservative website has put out an article charging voter fraud- Breitbart, American Thinker, Atlas Shrugs, WND, The Blaze, Front Page Magazine, Fox News, The Daily Caller, Town Hall, Human Events..

We can not wait for 2014 and 2016 to regroup and figure out new strategies. By then it will be too late. The Marxist/Muslim usurper will have completed his planned distruction of America. That's what people fail to understand.

We must act NOW.

Start with the election. If we let the Rats get away with this massive voter fraud, we're no better than a bananna republic.

We must keep digging and pounding him every day, in every way we can- phony birth certificate, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, his hidden life, records....

“Perhaps you can get most Americans, except progressives, to agree on 80% of things, but it’s the last 20% that is the problem.”

I think you overstate the amount Americans agree on; we’ve been successfully balkanized to the point where this last election could even have this unthinkable outcome.

“we need to eliminate welfare to the point where if one is truly disabled, it is there, beyond that, make them work and be held accountable for it.”

I agree with that, as long as there IS work.

“Have a child, be held responsible for him/her and so on.”

That sounds good, but what recourse does society have when the “parents” simply don’t accept responsibility (our cities in a nutshell)?

That's a huge problem I admit and I will confess that I'm not sure how to deal with it in the short term. I'm a big fan of Williams Johnstone's "Ti-States" idea from his book series "Out of the Ashes." I agree with about 90% of it, but it is a good start. I think we need to instill the idea of responsibility starting at a young age and give our kids the ability to make good decisions. Teach them just the facts on almost everything and there are consequences to decisions. If they screw up, sure, we will give a helping hand, but it is up to them to make things right.

That's the long term. Short term, well, you pointed out lack of jobs, good jobs. Well, first we need to educate our people for the workforce along with bringing our jobs back by lowering regulations and taxes. In the meantime, although it bugs me to say this but we need welfare with the idea of long term weaning people off. This might take generations.

Kids who need taken care of, make the parents take care of them, hopefully they will have a "come to Jesus moment" and bully up to the bar. Making them marry is a good idea if we can. Worse come to worst, if able the grandparents can take care of them or and aunt/uncle, worse case, adoption and/or society has to do it as a last resort.

I admit I lean libertarian, does not mean libertine, most do not get it that part. I believe in being accomodating to most folks and ideas as I can but I do believe in responsibility and redemption too.

In short, we slacked off on instilling responsibility by extending adolescence to the late 20's in many cases. in the past, people started working in their mid-teens. Maybe w can't go that far, but even by that time in life, people need to be responsible for their actions and not hide under being a juvenile and so on. Even then, people know right from wrong or at least should.

“first we need to educate our people for the workforce along with bringing our jobs back by lowering regulations and taxes.”

We have illiterate Hispanic (illiterate in SPANISH) working many jobs; most Americans can do them. The wages will rise without competition from illegal or desperate (legal) imported labor for which there really is no “demographic” demand (they are only working because the American urban underclass is comfortable without working).

“although it bugs me to say this but we need welfare with the idea of long term weaning people off. This might take generations.”

After the welfare reform of 1996 MANY people were off the dole very quickly (and those that stayed on often had one child - just to get on the dole). The five-year limit worked wonders; the urban underclass aborted and contracepted the usual 5 - 10 kids into oblivion (and actually started working). Since then other programs circumvented the intent of the welfare reform (rent subsidies, food stamps, etc.); those have to be cut back to where they were when our urban underclass for a time had “skin in the game”.

“make the parents take care of them, hopefully they will have a “come to Jesus moment” and bully up to the bar. Making them marry is a good idea if we can. Worse come to worst, if able the grandparents can take care of them or and aunt/uncle, worse case, adoption and/or society has to do it as a last resort.”

Living next to the Newark Welfare Reservation (or maybe libs would prefer “Newark Food Desert”), I assure you they won’t take care of them or come to Jesus. Despite their protestations to the contrary, there is nothing remotely Christian about how these people live (or breed). Marriage is absurd in its current form because legally it is ruinous for men; obtaining child support from never-married, non-participatin sperm donors makes more sense to me. Grandparents are already raising generations of urban children who have had parents killed off by AIDS and drugs; the state already has more than it can handle. Orphanages seem to be the only answer there, providing a real education and job skills so they can become productive members of society. The adoption route (in urban areas) doesn’t seem to work because it is “cash-for-kids” by proxy; it has replaced work for welfare queens who don’t “raise” the children at all (and spend the money on their hair, nails, and bad food).

Some people still start working in their teens, though it is more difficult because much of that work has gone to illegal aliens as well. At this point any young people who want to drive a car would have to work to put gas in it (unless they are only children and their parents can subsidize them). I think a lot of FReepers would find they have more in common with our current immigrants than with many “Americans”; the recent election showed just how far they have fallen.
