Obama: We Are Not Going To Negotiate With The Debt Ceiling
David Taintor 11:19 AM EST, Wednesday December 5, 2012
President Obama on Wednesday described Republicans who are considering holding the debt ceiling vote hostage in additional negotiations after the so-called fiscal cliff in January as partaking in a "bad strategy for America."
"I will not play that game," Obama told business leaders at a quarterly meeting of the Business Roundtable in Washington. "We are not going to play that game next year. We've got to break that habit before it starts."
As Mark Levin said, the Republicans should buy a half hour of tv time and tell their side of the story in a strong and powerful way. But then, we would need some strong and powerful people.
What side of the story is that? He must realize that Republicans put up Romney to tell that story and he failed.
House Republicans are leaking that they will extend the middle class tax cuts this year and nothing else till next year, as they had little choice on.
If you listened carefully Bohner and CO never said that they will refuse to extend those tax cuts in a separate bill. It was Dems that kept saying that Rs are holding those tax cuts hostage to the rich, and Rs let them do it to them.
Maybe (House Rs) thought it still was two years ago when O gave in on taxes. But back then I explained that he (O) did that on purpose for his own reasons that he wont have now. The two situations are completely different,
Not much of getting rid of spending caps his party members are starting to get wobble on his plan.
