Negotiations about how to avoid the fiscal cliff have resumed between the staffs of President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

Obama will do his usual.....duck and run....and head for Hawaii on the 14th.....and he won’t be back for 3 weeks....which means next year which means he won’t be here when we go “over the cliff”. Whatta guy!!

Boner and McConnell will surrender to Obama before his Hawaiian getaway. The fix is in.
He said the Democrats promised spending cuts, but they never passed them.
What if Republicans did the same thing, promise tax increases on the rich, but never pass them.
Repubs could announce "Yes, we are in favor of raising taxes on millionaires and billionaires," but just never bring up a tax bill!
If the country goes over the cliff, the Repubs can blame it on the Democrats, saying "we announced our support, but the Dems never voted for it."

Unless, they offer no resistance whatsoever. That may be the only way to escape blame and hang the economy on Obama. At this point, the only thing we can hope is that Boehner is engaging in "rope-a-dope".
Hoping for the GOP to do anything that a conservative approves of is a long wait where a train don't come.

John, save the tears, 9-irons, cigarettes and spray-on tans for one moment and listen to me, man-to-man:
The Mainstream Media (100% of the media - except the Washington Times, Boston Herald, Washington Examiner, Talk Radio and Fox News) hates your guts, yes, I said it, hates your guts. The Soledad O’Brien/Brian Williams/Bob Schieffer crowd may see you across the room at a Georgetown cocktail party, at a horse event in Middleburg or at a Kennedy Center awards event, but at the end of the day, are millionaire Statists who would rather see you back home selling insurance vs. heading the opposition party. They are part of the grand Pravda scheme of insulating and lying to the public about the Marxist Democratic Party’s interests. Stop trying to make them like you, in the end, they have Soros, the huge Foundations (Kellogg, Ford and Rockefeller) who will spend millions to defeat you in your home district, much less LIKE or RESPECT you. They want you to be dead (figuratively) in the political sense. It’s like a snake and rabbit both taking a drink at the watering hole. The snake is 100% looking for food, despite his small talk to the rabbit about the weather...it’s just to keep the bunny from hopping off and the ability to eat him.
You are a Washington insider, someone who left Ohio many moons ago to pursue a dream of political leadership that you currently enjoy. Congratulations on 2010 but it’s now 2012 and we have serious issues to attend to, mainly the ability to stop Obama and not give in to the MSM narrative.
1. PLEASE stop using the word “Revenue.” Say the truth, its TAX HIKES. It shows capitulation to the Liberal changing the meaning of language. Say “Raising Taxes” not raising revenue. Make every Obama/Democrat voter, mainly the educated ones who work, understand that THEIR taxes are going up, not just the “Rich Guy’s” who they loathe…(well, if they are Republicans)
2. EXPLAIN how $80 billion in 10 years is a drop in the bucket vs. a $1.6T budget and a $16.3T deficit...BUT how devastating it would be to job creators in the short term. Can you just merely state, in plain English, that John Smith’s ideas are far more tried and true than Keynes? Obama wants to punish those who create wealth (and donate to his campaigns) for his ideological redistributionist plans. Step up and explain that this does nothing but KILL JOBS, not CREATE them. Be articulate and explain that wealth is not permanent and growth needs to happen to keep the tax revenues coming in. One layoff has HUGE opportunity costs and Government work creates no wealth. Make OUR case.
3. Back to Point #1. It doesn’t matter; the GOP will be blamed for everything negative, even back 5 years to GW Bush. The Media is tanked for Obama and the Left Wing Dems, they skew, hide and spin every argument to make the Communist Agenda seem mainstream. There is no making nice with these people in the media. If somehow we have a massive recovery (possible, but highly unlikely) Obama and the Democrats will received 100% of the credit, even if they were REPUBLICAN ideas. Get it, John, it’s “lose-lose” for you and McConnell, if they win, you lose…if you win, they still say you lose. If they fail, you will be blamed and Obama, Reid and Pelosi will be blameless.
4) Stop purging Tea Partiers from the Committees. This is infuriating, but a battle I will take up with you at a future date.
Final takeaway: The Left and the Media lie and distort the truth about race, economics, poverty, the military, guns, global warming, gays, abortion and immigration. Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro, Peron, Ho Chi Minh, Alinsky, Clinton, Carter, LBJ, Wilson and even FRD all steal and tell un-truths to keep up the illusion of prosperity, when in fact, it’s a Ponzi Scheme. Marx, Engels and the Communists killed 100 million and kept billions poor, sick and enslaved. This is who the Democrats are, look at Obama’s friends and other “progressives” in the same chamber as your sit. Ellison, Lee? Please. They WENT TO CUBA and praised Castro, but somehow that was missed by the beloved MSM.
John, I don’t know you, but you seem like a good man, but I realize as an insider, you want to get along and make things happen, and be liked. Politicians flourish because people like the results of their efforts, and get pushed out if they are unpopular.
Stand up for Conservative Principles, stop being another Bush 41 softy and tell the Marxists “NO”. You will lose in the media either way, so fight on and TELL OUR STORY. Your legacy could be that you saved the country from the most destructive internal force ever known to the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, II.

The problem with that strategy is that the Republicans in congress were hired to prevent it.
If (well, "when") Boehner bends over -- if conservatives were uninspired by McCain and uninspired by Romney (Obama lost some 4 million votes between 2008 and 2012. Where did they go? Not to Romney.) -- they'll be completely uninspired by the GOP in 2014 and 2016.
They won’t.
They are absoutely incapable of doing anything other than getting their asses royally kicked.

According to the left, the Bush tax cuts did nothing for the middle class, remember? So, as long as the middle class isn't affected, according to the left, what's the problem?
Let the "Bush tax cuts for the rich" expire. If the middle class gets hit, blame in on Oboma. "OPPS! Who knew the Bush tax cuts helped the middle class? The democrats told us otherwise for years! Were they lieing about Bush all this time??"
