NBC's Williams Fantasizes Over Change in Constitution Allowing Obama to Control Business by Fiat

In an interview with Apple CEO Tim Cook for Thursday's NBC Rock Center, host Brian Williams wondered why the tech giant couldn't be a "made-in-America company" and outlined a political scenario in which President Obama was all-powerful: "Let's say our Constitution was a little different and Barack Obama called you in tomorrow and said, 'Get everybody out of China and do whatever you have to do, make these, make everything you make in the United States.'"

Cook responded by suggesting American workers simply didn't have the capacity to manufacture Apple products: "Over time, there are skills that are associated with manufacturing that have left the U.S., not necessarily people, but the education system stopped producing them."

"Over time, there are skills that are associated with manufacturing that have left the U.S.,...

The manufacturing process requires procedures the EPA will not allow.

""Let's say our Constitution was a little different and Barack Obama called you in tomorrow and said, 'Get everybody out of China and do whatever you have to do, make these, make everything you make in the United States.'"

A 'litttle different'?

What a constitutionally-illiterate human being!!!

Was it for this kind of intellectual midget that millions of freedom-loving Americans have sacrificed their lives and liberties?

Any citizen who would trust the judgment of any one, or of any collection of imperfect elected officials, to make such decisions on behalf of every other citizen, simply does not understand the history of civilization's struggles against such arbitrary power.

Is it possible that Williams has read the stories of those brave and courageous souls who, risking their own "lives, property, and sacred honor," signed our Declaration of Independence from such an arrogant and petty tyrant?

So-called "Progressives" are determined to set the cause of liberty back more than two centuries, embracing the Old World ideas from which their ancestors fled, and they have found their man who, given the chance, would take us in that direction, all the while calling it "forward."

In the semantics of "progressives," indeed, backward is "forward" and into the darkness which existed before the light of liberty brought enough opportunity, creativity, productivity, prosperity and plenty to bring hope and help to the entire world.

"Posterity: you will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it." - John Quincy Adams

"The people have almost always expected to be served gratis, and to be paid for the honour of serving them; and their applauses and adorations are bestowed too often on artifices and tricks, on hypocrisy and superstition, on flattery, bribes, and largesses. . . . The people in America have now the best opportunity, and the greatest trust, in their hands, that Providence ever committed to so small a number, since the transgression of the first pair: if they betray their trust, their guilt will merit even greater punishment than other nations have suffered, and the indignation of heaven. - John Adams, January, 1787

Any Apple factory in the US would likely be fully automated. Very few jobs except the techs.

>>Not very many high school graduates are ready to learn anything.

We teach children that a university education leading to a professional career is the only path to success. Not everyone wants to be an doctor, lawyer, or MBA. A lot of people like to work with their hands, but we’ve shipped all those jobs overseas or given them to illegals who work for almost nothing. The kids have no motivation to learn anything.

Even a kid who wants to be an engineer quickly learns that engineering is a dead-end job in this country unless you get the business degree to move you quickly into management while you are young.

Create the opportunities and pay the people you can find now well, and more people will start training to get in. In other words, subsidize what you want to grow.

ABC World News Tonight did a story a few nights ago.....their “Made in America” segment.

Diane Sawyers mentioned that Apple is planning to build a $100 million facility in the U.S. next year to build Ipads.

Hey gang! Let’s play some more useless “What If?” with Brian Williams !!!!

What if Cynthia McKinney had written the Constitution?

What if the Japs and Nazis had won WWII?

What if Stanley Anne Dunham had really been the boy her father wanted?

What if Brian Williams wasn’t a half baked Nancy Boy with a Man Crush on Barack Obama?

In essence, yes, but they’ll avoid such an outright Soviet maneuver.

Instead, they’ll abuse the Commerce Clause and force a business that leaves one state to pay taxes and unemployment the to the former state, so, in essence, there will be “no escape.”

Because their goal is to bring us down to the third-world status, which they have to do from within.

When Obammie the Commie said that you can’t change DC from within DC, I’m surprised no one made the obvious point that Obammie the Commie was proving the point that he does not want to change DC, that is why he is there.

He doesn’t want to change DC, he wants to increase the speed of the direction DC is headed and where it is dragging the country: over the cliff and into the sewer.

What if the Japs and Nazis had won WWII?

There's a book out about that: Amazon

"It's America in 1962. Slavery is legal once again. The few Jews who still survive hide under assumed names. In San Francisco, the I Ching is as common as the Yellow Pages. All because some twenty years earlier the United States lost a war—and is now occupied by Nazi Germany and Japan."

When you argue with a leftist about ‘socialism’, they claim that we aren’t a socialist nation because the government doesn’t own the means of production. My answer is always, ‘The government doesn’t need to ‘own’ property when they can control it through regulation and taxation.’
(Actually, we’re operating under ‘Corporatism’ as Mussolini defined it.)

I can't believe that these fags are so stupid they don't know that they are pimping fascism, Nazism and communism. Williams is a moron.

Bingo! This ain't yo daddy's America anymore. In fact, it isn't even America anymore. OTOH: The morons in this country are good at texting and playing with their "smart" phones.

It’s cheaper for companies to operate in China for a reason. The main cost of manufacturing is labor. The Chi-coms offer slave labor and hellish living conditions for factory workers.
