One person can embezzle $2.5 million dollars a year for 20 years and nobody noticed it or her lavish life style on her salary.

This is supposed to be “civilization.” Nobody questioned the books for 20 years. I wonder how much of this stuff a nationwide audit would unearth.

You would think anybody with a brain would send the money offshore, retire to Costa Rica and live like a king for the rest of your life. Nobody would know the difference. If they hadn’t found it in 20 years they never would have.
But... they cannot resist living in the here and now.
