Michigan right to work: Judge rules on lockdown of Capitol building

LANSING, MI — A judge found that state police were doing their job on Thursday when they locked down the Michigan Capitol building during a protest of right-to-work bills.

But state police and Capitol building officials need to devise guidelines for dealing with these types of situations in the future, said Ingham County Circuit Judge William Collette.

Collette on Friday dissolved the temporary restraining order that was issued on Thursday by Judge Joyce Draganchuk ordering the state police to reopen the Capitol building.

“But anyway, please just keep the building open if at all possible because the Constitution requires it,” Collette said, according to a court transcript. “And I’ve known a lot of union people in my life and they are good people. They don’t cause a lot of trouble. Well, make a lot of noise, but they don’t cause a lot of trouble, all right?”

At least two lawsuits have been filed contending the state violated the Open Meetings Act and citizens’ right of free speech.

They didn’t expect to be met with force and that they wouldn’t be allowed to just get their way.

OSHA, thank you Richard Nixon. Same President who proposed the Earned Income Tax Credit, whereby millions receive an income tax refund, without ever paying in.

“But anyway, please just keep the building open if at all possible because the Constitution requires it,” Collette said, according to a court transcript.

This constitutional scholar could be the judge who instantly passes a restraining order putting the law on hold until enough signatures are collected/created to put it on a future ballot. East Lansing has a good supply of leftist Appeals judges eager to do the bidding of thugs and statists.

Millions of dollars, and dozens of high-priced leftist lawyers and PR consultants have the petitions and ad campaigns ready to go, just as soon as the law is signed. Assuming the brownshirt thugs don't "discourage" a fair vote in the first places.

Unless you're from Michigan, and read the obscure sections of the newspapers, people are unaware of all the illegal and strongarm tactics used to try to stop "shall issue", and ending affirmative action in public schools. And they're still looking for ways to overturn those laws.

I got no problem with that but its pretty obvious that the union only wants to disrupt. I read somewhere that it cost almost $7.5 million to repair and clean the capitol building in Wisconsin.

Whomever planned this whole vote out did their homework, i,e. lessons learned from WI, let us look at the evidence.

* They held it in the cold, not the warmth of summer, harder to protest.
* Closed session, so they couldn't come in and if my memory is correct literally crap in the halls like they did in WI.
* Did after an election, where many Unions are tired and broker post Obama's latest run.
* Literally had it in the Xmas season, how many Union folks are going to go protest when their wifes Xmas party is that night or they have to go to their kids Xmas Recital?
* With all the chaos with the Fiscal Cliff and "Detwaa" what a better time to launch this.

Tactically, Brilliant simply brilliant...

Robert Davis, a union activist and Highland Park school board member, filed a similar suit alleging Open Meetings Act violations, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Feel free to google this guy and find out that suing School Boards and city governments on the Open Meeting Act is how he makes his living. He is a low-life.

My cousin is an up and coming union activist. I call him an up and coming prison inmate.

Its really too bad because he’s a good guy but has bought the whole union line, lock stock and barrel. They’ve pumped his ego up with crap about what a big man he is but will toss him aside like garbage when they’re done with him.

"What’s next—calling them pigs? Reminds me of the 60s. Jerk !

Touched a nerve?

Hot flash: None of us "civilians" care if some skinhead, bloused booted, taser happy, torturing theif gets home at night. They've used up all the good wll they ever had.

They are the ones who are Obama's front line in his quest for a world dictatorship, and they are the ones who are going to take the first casualties in the Civil War, Part 2.

Amendment#1 says you have the “Right to PEACEABLE ASSEMBLY FOR THE PETITION OF REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES “ The key word is PEACEABLE which is not what is going on in this case but mob action & breach of the peace.
