No worries. Just assumed you found it on your own. Am taking the day off from business today due to the cold weather here in Texas. Cold for us Texans anyway.

Subheadline:

International coalition could offer air and sea support as well as military training

Now which International Coalition might that be?

Let’s hope that Obama has enough sense not to start a war with Russia on behalf of his Muslim terrorist buddies.

Sense and progressive are mutually exclusive. Obama and Hillary want a world war because they want to have the power that their hero, FDR wielded over the American people. They do not realize that in this age there are no winners in a world war. Here is the latest news from the World War III front. An ongoing battle that may determine how this all escalates to World War.

Concern that Assad may have passed some chemical weapons to Hizballah

The battle around Al Safira, site of Syria’s biggest chemical weapons store and Scud D missiles fitted with chemical warheads, is fierce and fluid: the base changes hands every few hours in heavy fighting between Syria army and rebel forces.

Saturday, the base’s capture by the rebels triggered a warning from the Assad regime against throwing chemical weapons into the battle. Sunday, Al Safira was recaptured, but the rebels are sweeping through the surrounding villages and closing in on three sides. For now, Syrian forces control the road connecting Al Safira to Aleppo, but the rebels have seized parts of Sheikh Suleiman, the biggest air base near that city, and are getting close to that highway. Its fall would snap shut the rebel siege on Al Safira.

Control of Al Safira would place the big chemical weapons stores in the hands of rebel forces in that sector, many of whom belong to Jabhat al-Nusra, the roof organization of the al Qaeda elements fighting in Syria against the Assad regime.

Yeah. NATO and Obama claim that they want to intervene to prevent the terrorists from taking over after Assad goes.

I bet. Just like they did in Libya. And Egypt. And Tunisia.

If Assad goes, it’s inevitable that the Muslim fanatics will take charge. And I should think Russia realizes that. Although they may finally decide that there’s nothing they can do to stop it. Who knows?

The fallback plan is to setup an Alawite state along the west shoreline that includes the Russian seaport. That would have been a good deal if Obama/Hillary/Huma would have been fair negotiators. The use of WMD by Al Nusra however, will change everything.

An ongoing battle that may determine how this all escalates to World War.

Could this be a 21st century version of the 20th century Spanish Civil war? That war had plenty of republicans involved, as well as statists...

Saw it somewhere. Back when they were pounding the war drums in early summer. That is what defecting people have surmised is the Alawite fallback plan. Pull back to the highlands in the west along the Med shoreline. The future for Damascus and Aleppo right now does not look good. If I see that back up plan mentioned again, will ping you.

Gee wheeze. Who at the compost gave her permission to write " Nevertheless, President Obama, Clinton and Clinton’s successor would do well to develop an actual policy for the Middle East that consists of more than simply lurching from one crisis to another."

Assad claims he is being framed.

Assad To U.N. On Chemical Weapons: "We Are Being Framed"

Framed by the US Oligarchy ? When have they ever used that tactic ?

If the media really wants to turn Americans against Syria, all they have to do is report that Assad wants to take away our marijuana. Flash, bang, no more Damascus.

Why is it no one mentions the Russian base at the harbor on the Med? No way will they let a warm water port leave their grip.
