Object seen in orbit after North Korea carries out controversial rocket launch

December 12, 2012 -- Updated 0907 GMT (1707 HKT)

Hong Kong (CNN) -- North Korea surprised and angered the international community Wednesday by launching a long-range rocket that appeared to put a satellite in orbit, a breakthrough for the reclusive, nuclear-armed state.

The North Korean regime said the rocket had successfully blasted off from a space center on its west coast and delivered a satellite into its intended orbit. The launch followed a botched attempt in April and came just days after Pyongyang suggested its plans could be delayed.

North Korea's previous claims of successful satellite launches have been dismissed by the United States and other countries, but this time it seemed to have pulled it off.

Initial indications suggest the rocket "deployed an object that appeared to achieve orbit," the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the joint U.S.-Canadian aerospace agency, said in a statement.

Have resistance to being negative about electrons. You should have the capacitance to get amped about electrons!

Except the first to die off would be the inner city underclass that is his core support. All the remaining liberals scattered about in the cities would not last much longer.

Those that did last a while would not be the sort Obunga wants around.

Guilty! Roquefort is my favorite cheese. Must be in the genes, Great Grandfather came from France.

I think they grant SSI-Disability for that condition. ;)

No disrespect, but you may want to update your tech knowledge. Solid state electronics were not in much use back then. Check into EMP effects and what is vulnerable vs. what was used back the.

Regarding the size and weight of 2 stage nukes, it was a long development path from Ivy Mike to what was popped over Johnston island.

Probably make a fortune selling copies of that jacket to the degenerate mongrels that voted to put a foreign communist in the WH for a second time.

Look for commie fashion to become the rage in the USSA this year.
