Christie: Weight concerns “ridiculous”

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said concerns that his weight would prevent him from serving as president were “ridiculous” in an interview set to air Wednesday.

In an interview for Barbara Walters’s “10 Most Fascinating People” series, the broadcast veteran asked the New Jersey governor how he would respond to “people who say that you couldn’t be president because you're so heavy.”

“That’s ridiculous, I mean, that’s ridiculous,” Christie responded. “I mean, I don’t know what the basis for that is.”

Why do they keep adding an “R” behind his name when everyone knows he’s a demodummie in hiding.

People that are considerably overweight have more health problems, it’s that simple. He is in denial about his obesity.

It’s not his turn anyway. Next up to lose is Jeb. The GOPe’s are already pushing his name out there.

It also seems that Hillary is declining (at present, but may change her mind later). If she does not run, that opens the way for another youthful Democrat to run against the Bush name, especially is Jeb is on the ticket. Win Win for the Dems.

The conservatives will chase after a half-dozen candidates who will hang on long enough to split the primary votes and give Jeb the nomination. Repeat of 2008 and 2012.

It’s the light-weightness of his conservatism that bothers me.

It doesn't matter anyway. The Democrats have it all locked up for the foreseeable future. The GOP is dead and we have no major party to represent us. C'est le vie.

Is gluttony one of the seven deadly sina? I see red flags when I see a fat man. Emotional eating in men is such a turn off....deeper issues.

I agree. Especially with such a nasty personality.

And he doesn’t know why he is or he’d do something about it?

Oh, please!

“There’s a reason they refer to his type of condition as morbidly obese”

Exactly. He lives in a state of denial. Even if he wasn’t a total RINO I would never vote for the guy for President. His face is red half the time anyway from the over exertion of his heart. Add the stress of the presidency to that and I would make book that within 6 mos Christie would keel over from a massive heart attack. The guy appears to make no attempt to control his weight.

Ever seen video of Christie trying to walk fast? It’s a struggle for him. He just...rolls. I’m guessing that’s why he took that helicopter ride to his kid’s ball game instead of walking.

The guy has to weigh at least 350 lbs.

Having been to the low end of his weight - I can assure you he cant possibly feel good - he's surely got blood pressure and blood sugar issues...nothing to screw around with

It also speaks to his personal gluttony and inability to control himself........i can can already see it playing out in the media this past week when Babs Walters asked him about his weight

The slob wouldnt last 6 weeks in office...not on that schedule

aside, Im down to 245 from 315

Cris Krispy Kreme don`t get it.

He`s burned his bridge with classical liberals / conservative and the neo-marxist left has decided he is NOT one of them, the beautiful progressives

This fat fool is d-o-n-e done

He could look like Jabba the Hut or Princess Leah for all I care, but his liberalism will result in him losing any attempt for the presidency as a republican.

He might get the nomination as a republican but as with McStain and Romney other “moderates” we just had to have as our nominee(thanks once again GOPE), he will get his ass kicked.

NJ counties hit hardest by the storm- Monmouth and Ocean- went solid red. As did Staten Island.

Which is why they are still a-hurtin' ... despite pant-load Christie's Lewinsky on the Mombasa MF. This ridiculous Governor Crispy-Creme made the Kenyan a hero in time for the election, and INMNSVHO, gave him the election. Out-weighing old President Taft is not a qualification for office. Get lost, ya fat Pant-Load!

"No matter what he says the general public won’t elect a fat cat politician."

The press will never allow Christie to get past a presidential primary.

Every story will begin with his appearance. No conservative issues will ever be discussed.

It'll be the same as Romney's bank account, a diversion from the issues.
