RUSH: Do you know, in addition to me being responsible for your state of panic over the fiscal cliff, I lead the Never Surrender Wing of the GOP. This is Norman Ornstein last night on the Charlie Rose Show. Norman Ornstein, the American Enterprise Institute resident scholar, and they were talking about the Republican Party. Charlie Rose said, "Is Boehner less afraid of his caucus than he has been in the past?"
ORNSTEIN: You've got groups like those led by Rush Limbaugh saying never give up, never surrender, we didn't do anything wrong, they'll come to us. You've got others saying, all we gotta do is flip the switch on immigration, turn amnesty from a four-letter word to a seven letter word and everything else will stay the same. And then you've got the pragmatists saying we've got a different political environment now, and we've gotta change our message, and that not just the words, but some of the context of it. Boehner is really in that group, along with people like Jeb Bush and Haley Barbour. And there are gonna be a lot of forces, though, who want to see that group fail.
RUSH: Well, this is his description of the factions fighting within the Republican Party. And he's just described the establishment GOP, which apparently is able and willing to sit by and watch themselves evaporate into extinction. Because he says, "Well, you know, you got Boehner. You got pragmatists. It's a different political environment now! We gotta change our message, gotta change who we are. Not just the words, but some of the content."
In other words, we have to stop being Republicans, gotta stop being conservatives. We gotta stop being Classic Coke and we gotta screw up our recipe and become something nobody recognizes or wants or likes. That's what we gotta do. That's what Ornstein says, and that's what the smart people in our party are doing. I (leading the Neanderthal, Never Surrender Wing) am saying, "There's nothing to change. We didn't do anything wrong. We don't stand for anything wrong."
And I believe this.
I believe in conservatism.
I don't believe it's wrong.
I don't believe it's to blame for anything.
The problem is that we have people who don't know how to articulate it, don't know how to express it, maybe because they aren't conservatives. And then you've got this third group saying, "Yeah, just come out for amnesty and everything will be okay, and then come out for abortion and everything will be okay." I think what this does, this sound bite proves what I have been saying since the middle last week.
And that is: What is underway here is an all-out, full-court press to get the Republicans to confess that tax cuts -- and maybe more than tax cuts. Not just tax cuts, but conservatism is the reason we're in this mess. "Tax cuts for the rich! Focus on the individual, liberty, freedom! That's why we're in this mess. That's why the unemployment rate's still high. That's why we're in a recession," and here Norman Ornstein is praising that faction of the Republican Party.
He's encouraging them.
Essentially the pressure is now on for them to confess. By that I mean admit that what they have believed all along is wrong. That's what he wants. And he says these are the guys that get it. It's a different political environment now. Change our message 'cause we were wrong -- and not just the words, 'cause the words were wrong, but the context 'cause the context was wrong.
"Boehner gets it. Boehner knows the Republican Party been wrong. Jeb Bush knows the Republican Party has been wrong. Haley Barbour knows THE Republican Party's been wrong." This is what Ornstein means. And, of course, how do we get out from underneath this? We admit it! "We admit we blew it. We screwed up. We and our policies caused this. Will you love us now?" And then out there you have the Never Surrender Wing led by me, and I'm the problem.
And the Never Surrender Wing, we're the blockheads. We're the Neanderthals. We're the ones that are saying, 'We didn't do anything wrong. None this is our fault," and as such, we ostensibly pose the problem. And you're in the Never Surrender Wing, too. I mean, if you're here you're either just a curious liberal looking for some thrills or you're a member of the New Castrati hoping and praying than that something overcomes me and I become one of you.
Or you're one of us of the Never Surrender Wing. So you're in that group, too. The middle group... I don't think there is a middle group, actually. The group that wants to say, "Okay, you know what? We're for amnesty." That's the pragmatist group. I'm proud of this. I am proud, ladies and gentlemen, to be the leader. I didn't know I was, but I'm proud to be the leader of the Never Surrender Wing.
So next up, Charlie Rose and Ornstein discuss Rubio. And they say that Rubio has the ability to satisfy you and me in the Never Surrender Wing and still do amnesty and save the GOP. Rubio is the one guy that can do this. Let's listen to the bite. Charlie Rose said, "You know who's interesting on the Republican side in terms of presidential aspirants is Marco Rubio."
ORNSTEIN: Rubio is trying to walk a fine line --
ROSE: M'yuh.
ORNSTEIN: -- keeping those conservatives, uh, of the never-give-up, never-surrender category, while also reaching out to those moderates. And this is gonna be a very interesting test. Can you walk that tightrope or walk through that minefield and have success? I think he may be the leader who's able to reach an agreement on an immigration bill, and that will give him a big impetus forward.
ROSE: M'yes.
ORNSTEIN: But whether he can navigate through the fiscal matters, but also some of these social matters after he, you know, fell a little bit flat by suggesting that he didn't know how old the earth was. Uh, that, uh, shows us that, uh, he's got a little work to do.
RUSH: Oh, gee whiz! See, I knew it! This is the same thing they did to Romney. It's the same thing as when George Stephanopoulos asked that question about contraception (when nobody was talking about it, thinking about it, caring about it) on January 16th at a Republican primary debate. That gave birth on the War on Women. A GQ, I think it was, magazine reporter asked Rubio how old do you think the earth is.
Rubio's commented on it before, but the reason for that question is, you see, that fundamentalist, backwoods, hayseed, hick, stupid, hillbilly pro-lifers think the earth is 10,000 years old because it says so in the Bible. Everybody else who's enlightened and smart and brilliant and open-minded believes the earth is billions and billions and billions and billions of years old.
So this question to Rubio, "How old do you think the earth is?" is a trap question. And Rubio said, "Well, that's a question for scientists to answer." I thought his answer was okay, but they accused him of dodging it and trying to have it both ways on it. I didn't even remember that but see, here's Ornstein, a big political scientist. Now Rubio's got the how-old-is-the-earth-question problem. Yeah, right. See? It's always something. Rubio has the how-old-the-earth-is problem.
His answer was identical to Obama's. Identical to Obama's. But, see, Obama arrives with the imprimatur that he's smart. He went to Harvard and all that. Yale, wherever the hell he went. Columbia. I think he went to all of them. And so, anyway, it's Rubio. He can do the dance. He can keep those of us in a Never Surrender Wing happy by surrendering on immigration (hee-hee-hee-hee) and whatever else.

We have learned that two all-knowing, all-powerful, all-perfect Superbeings have existed from eternitypossessing supreme mind and creative power. These two divine Beings, composing the nucleus of the God Family, created the entire universe, including man.
Just as human beings think, plan and design before starting to build or construct, so these two Superbeings thought, planned and designed the entire creation. There was no hurry. They may have thought and planned for many millions (or even billions) of years, as we count time, before the actual creation.
But these two Supreme Beings first designed and created the angels, which are invisible to human eyes. God created these spirit beings before creating planet earth, the home or "habitation" (Jude 6) for at least a third of the angels. The angels were so filled with joy and happiness that they "sang together" and "shouted for joy" when the earth was created (Job 38:7).
1. In addition to the creation of angels, the earth and the heavens, did God also create governmental administrations? Col. 1:16.
COMMENT: The Bible reveals that God placed the great archangel Lucifer on a throne on earth to administer Gods government over the angels who were placed here. Gods Law, by which Lucifer was to rule, is a way of life. It is the way of loveoutgoing concern for the welfare of others the way of peace, harmony, helping, serving, sharing.
2. Did Lucifer continue to administer Gods government on earth according to Gods Law? Or did he rebel and thereby sin greatly? Ezek. 28:12-15; Isa. 14:12-14. (The "king of Tyrus," as succeeding verses in Ezekiel 28 show, refers to Lucifer, now Satan, the evil spirit being who inspired the human "prince of Tyrus"verse 2.) Who followed Lucifer in his rebellion? Rev. 12:3-4.
COMMENT: The archangel Lucifer rebelled against God. Instead of continuing to administer the government of God on earth, he became a traitor. In his rebellion, one-third of all the angels followed him in his unsuccessful attempt to invade and take over Gods headquarters in heaven and dethrone the very Creator God Himself! Lucifer was renamed "Satan," which means "adversary," and the angels who followed him in this attempted coup became "demons."
3. Did the beautiful and majestic earth become waste and empty, chaotic and in confusion as a result of Lucifers sin? Gen. 1:2.
COMMENT: The Hebrew words for "without form and void" are tohu and bohu, which mean "chaotic and in confusion," "waste and empty."
The words tohu and bohu are also used in Jeremiah 4:23, Isaiah 24:10 and Isaiah 34:11. In each of these scriptures the condition of chaos and confusion was a result of sin.
4. In Genesis 1:2 we find the earth in chaos and confusion. Is that the way God created it? Isa. 45:18.
COMMENT: The Hebrew word translated "in vain" in Isaiah 45:18 is tohu. This is the identical word used in Genesis 1:2, meaning confusion, emptiness or wastein this case a result of rebellion against Gods government and His Law.
In Isaiah 45:18 we have the plain statement that God created the earth NOT "tohu," that is, NOT in confusion, Not in disorder. But in Genesis 1:2, the earth "was," or the earth becameas it ought to be translatedchaotic and in confusion!
5. What does Genesis 19:26 tell us that further proves the earth became something it was not when originally created by God?
COMMENT: The same Hebrew word translated "was" in Genesis 1:2 is translated "became" in Genesis 19:26. There it clearly refers to a changed condition. So the word "was" in Genesis 1:2 denotes a condition that was different from a former condition. In other words, the earth "became" something it had not always been before. The Rotherham translation of Genesis 1:2 reads as follows: "Now the earth had become waste and wild." It hadnt always been that way!
God did not create the earth in a state of confusion, topsy-turvy and chaotic. I Corinthians 14:33 states that "God is not the author of confusion." But the devil is! God is the author of peace, of order and of law.
God would not have created the earth in disorder, chaos and in confusion just to straighten it out. That doesnt make sense!
6. After the destruction of the earths surface resulting from the sin of the angels, did God then recreate the surface of the earth and make it habitable for plant, animal and human life? Ps. 104:30. Also read the entire first chapter of Genesis, noticing especially verse 26.
COMMENT: After Lucifers rebellion caused the ruination of a perfect earth, God set out to renew the surface of the earth, making it a place fit for human life.
God then undertook the most stupendous creation of allthat of reproducing Himself through human beings! The ultimate creation of God Beings as members of His divine Family, superior to angels, will be the crowning pinnacle of Gods creative powerthe zenith of all divine accomplishment!
God reproducing Himself is a project so transcendently and incredibly awesome it is hard for the human mind to grasp. The great Godwho is self-existent, before all else, Creator of all elseis in the process of reproducing Himself, creating what will ultimately be millions of others like Himself. Gods Sons will each be divine, powerful and perfect in charactereach by his own free choice perfectly like-minded with the Father, having so set himself that he will notcannotsin! (I John 3:9.)
To accomplish this incredibly awesome feat, God first made man from the dust of the ground in His own "likeness." This was so that humans, upon Gods call to repentance and begettal by the Holy Spirit, could begin to develop the character of God while still flesh and blood. Then, at the resurrection, they will be changed to immortality and given powerful spirit-composed bodies like that of the Creator God Himself!
7. After Gods plan for humanity is complete, will He then create new heavens and a new earth? Isa. 65:17; Rev. 21:1-5.
COMMENT: The chaos caused by Lucifers rebellion can be seen throughout our solar system. Apparently the rest of our galaxy and the entire universe have been affected as well. But God will one day make all things new!
In the meantime, God has made the earth a habitable place for man. Yet, He has allowed the devastation, clearly visible on other planets (as evidenced by photos of pockmarked landscapes taken by deep space probes) and in space debris, to remain as mute testimony to the results of sinof going contrary to Gods government and His way of life.
8. Did Isaiah clearly indicate that the government of God will expand not only on the earth, but eventually to other parts of our galaxy and even throughout the universe? Isa. 9:6-7.
COMMENT: God promises there will be no end to the increase of His government! Peace, harmony, happiness and eternal joy will spread throughout the universe.
But only those who develop Gods righteous character and are born into His divine Family will become part of His government, prophesied to soon be restored on this earth.
This fine ship. This fine crew.
Never give up! Never surrender!
Whenever the media asks gotcha questions like that, instead of giving a thoughtful conservative response that will be wrong however it’s phrased, the candidate needs to forcefully tell the questioner that “that question is ridiculous. We have serious problems to try to solve in this country, and rather than sitting around contemplating my navel like the opposition is obviously doing, I spend my free time trying to come up with solutions to our problems, like....(list them). Next question.”
It’s what Newt would do.
But your great blasphemy is the lie that we shall be "Gods". Isaiah 43:10 says "...before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, and LORD; and besides me there is no savior".
There is only one God ever. There were no gods formed before him, and none after. One God. Not many.
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. (John 8:24)
He who? The only Savior and God there is.
Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and besides me there is no Saviour. (Isaiah 43:10,11)
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6)
Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. (Isaiah 44:8b)
I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:5,6)
For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:18--one of the verses you misapply.)
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:22)
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.(Revelation 22:12,13)
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. (Revelation 21:3)
Revelation says we remain men and He will be our God, the only God there is. Anyone who adds to or takes away from the words of the prophecy of this book (Revelation of Jesus Christ) will be eternally damned. (Revelation 22:18,19)
Jesus said “I am the first and the last” (Revelation 22:13 and in numerous other places). When you have an ordered set of element(s) with one element which is both first and the last, that implies that there is only ONE element in that set. There is only ONE God and he is Jesus Christ. This is the word of the LORD: “Before me was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.” (Isaiah 43:10b)
Your false doctrine that says that there are multiple gods is a lie straight out of hell. It will take you straight to hell.
Who do you think you are? Jesus Christ? (You bastardize Matthew 7:23)
You espouse the heretical teachings of Herbert W. Armstrong (polytheistic deification).
The Worldwide Church of God of Herbert W. Armstrong (who died early in 1986) claims to believe in only one God. However, Armstrongism defines "God" as a collective term (like "church" or "family") referring to a family of distinct beings all having the same essential nature. Presently this "God family" consists of two members, God the Father and Christ, but it is their plan to reproduce themselves in human beings and so add millions or even billions to the God family.[6] Therefore, by the normal use of words on which our categorizations are based, Armstrong's world view is also polytheistic.
For a clear contrast between common heresies and what the Bible in fact teaches I present this link for any interested reader who has been following this:
"Ye Are Gods?" Orthodox and Heretical Views on the Deification of Man
You are the one who doesn't want to engage. You haven't provided anything which counters the scriptures I have given you that shows there is only one God, not many "God beings."
Here is the critical heresy from your ealier post:
These two divine Beings, composing the nucleus of the God Family, created the entire universe, including man...God then undertook the most stupendous creation of allthat of reproducing Himself through human beings! The ultimate creation of God Beings as members of His divine Family, superior to angels, will be the crowning pinnacle of Gods creative powerthe zenith of all divine accomplishment!
This is from the intro and point 6. This is NOT what the Bible says. I gave you seven (7) clear verses that God is one God, not two or more "God beings". The Bible never uses this language. Isaiah says there is one God: there are none before him and there will be none after him. Humans beings will not become God beings (Gods).
The Berean Call authors remind us:
The lie that brought about the fall of man was Ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil (Gn 3:5). In sharp contrast to this heresy, the God of the Bible declares, that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. (Is 43:10).
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today and forever.
Since you refuse to clearly respond to the contention: How many “Gods” are there? If you did, you’d be shown to be a heretic.
There is only one son of God who is God: Jesus Christ. Otherwise God contradicts himself in Isaiah 43:10. How many Gods does this passage say there are? One. How many Gods does 1 Timothy 2:5 say there are? One. How many Gods does Deuteronomy 6:4 say there are? One.
