What was the nature of the "altercation" the day prior?
I really look forward to knowing more about this. I’m wondering now if the personality disorder wasn’t Narcissism. Folks like that get absolutely outraged over any personal slight, from what I’ve seen. They have this “How dare you offend me, I will show you what happens when you offend ME...”
I’m very curious to know the nature of this “altercation” as well. Fortunately, the fourth person is still around to tell the tale. Smells like a motive.
There’s nothing worse than a person who bears a grudge.
And now we enter the phase known as “filling in the blanks” when we find out that it was some horrible “gun nut” that wanted to just take out a random school, but a known headcase that had contact with the school before, and committed a number of thefts and a murder in order to get to the point where he went on his spree.
Look at all the “laws” and people that failed to stop this. How would some more help?

Reading that article, I was thinking the exact same thing.

Will we find out that he was on all kinds of prescribed drugs by his psych or is this information private? We already know the theater shooter in Arizona was seeing a psych so we can assume he to was on psych drugs? no? Instead of institutionalizing these sickos the god doctors, politicians liberals and school administrators play russian roulette with our children!

I suggest also, that this manchild was just mad at his mother. Perhaps she would not GIVE him something he "wanted".
Maybe she would not let him have the car, let him buy that next Demonic video game...told him to clean his room or take out the trash..go live with his Dad... or whatever.
He's 20 years old, still living at home and he doesn't want to be told what to do, in other words SPOILED.
Hind sight is 20/20 but the series of events is very important.
It DOES stand out doesn't it? It appears clear that there WAS a prior incident, so maybe they can use that as a starting point for motive.
I realllly want to hear the voice and see the FACE of the person claiming he TRIED to buy a gun but could NOT.
No evidence that it’s a lie, but such a story would have the effect of validating waiting periods, and with regard to guns this administration has a historically unprecedented level of lying.
I’ll bet this is a lie —I’ll bet he made no rejected attempt to buy.
Definite possibility, but killing anyone after her makes no sense. She wouldn't be around to suffer for what he did. Frankly, if she were alive, knowing he murdered 20 children to get even with her, that would be the most vicious form of retribution I can imagine for a mother. But she isn't. So... it's still just very weird.
