Former presidential hopeful, Steve Forbes said he believes Republicans would be best served postponing everything before passing any laws to avoid the looming fiscal cliff.
Just say everything stays the same for another three months, six months because early next year it will be apparent that doing harm to this economy is not going to be a smart thing to do, Forbes said in an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV. The president hopes to ram this through before the shakiness of the economy becomes evident to the voters.

Gee. I dunno, STEVE. It’s already pretty sucky...of course the MSM isn’t telling us that, but Real Life says something ENTIRELY different!
Problem with kicking the can down the road is that there is no more road!
I’m no “expert” or “analyst” but I do know that since we’re already going that way anyway, “the cliff” is probably the quickest way down.
I’m in Retail. I USED to have $45K days on the major sale weekends throughout the year. These days I’m LUCKY to eek out $10K on those exact same days!
I’m on the FRONT LINES, Baby. People. Are. Broke. People. Are. Scared...of the future!
America. Is. Broke/n.
How nice of a billionaire, who probably has been stashing gold
for the coming collapse to get him through. While the rest of us will
have to dumpster dive to survive.
The fiscal cliff is an arbitrary construction. There is nothing magical about January 1st. “Solving” the fiscal cliff crisis while Obama and his minions remain in power is the very definintion of futility. Or, so it seems to me.
Doing nothing is probably the best bet. Like the doctors oath ... do no harm, or in this case, do nothing which will probably produce the least harm.
Hippocrates would be turning over in his grave, eh . . . ?
...he believes Republicans would be best served postponing everything before passing any laws to avoid the looming fiscal cliff......and I wholeheartedly agree -- vote 'present' or 'no', and let the Demagogic Party destroy things singlehandedly.
Apparently he missed the news that the tax cuts expire again.
In all due respect to Mr. Forbes, Republicans would be best served to adopt the Reagan mentality on economic and military matters, and Patrick Henry on freedom and liberty matters.
Then maybe they’ll become respectable again.
A maxim to live by..”If you don’t know what to do...doing nothing is usually best.”
I do trust in Steve Forbes...don’t always agree with him but I don’t doubt he has credentials...

I think people are being very careful with their shopping.....I know I am....I’m not even baking as much....with walnuts about $7 a pound, its getting pricy to bake my favorites....
Yep. I agree with Teve Torbes..
Let’s hang tight until we get to the “debt ceiling” debate. That’s when the poop will really hit the fan, and that’s when the Republicans got something to hold over Ubanga and the rats. In other words, the rats will have some skin in the game.
As it is, the negotiations are basically, “We Republicans will raise taxes AND push granny off a cliff, okay Mr. President?”
