There have been school shootings before but this one was particularly painful to learn about.
In the first place the children were so young and innocent -- kindergartners. In the second, it is the season when young children are especially full of happiness. Their homes are filled with Chanukah and Christmas decorations and gifts. Their houses smell of yummy things to eat. Families make a special effort to be together for the holidays.

No sooner did the news hit the wires than the political prattle about it began. Stop it.
For once, act like human beings. Can the gun talk; hold up on the sociological musings; button your lips on all the usual chatter when horrors occur. Maybe people spend too much time on TV programs where there's a wrapup after half an hour and expect real life to follow that schedule.

Way too much shallow thinking. In fact, I'm pretty convinced there are bunches of people who can only think in a shallow way. For them, deep logical though is an impossibility.
The “that” mentioned in the second word of the snipped article is an insightful look at energy and “global warming.” Go read the article. Worth it.
The communists have chosen Newtown as the tool they are going to use to take away the rights of law abiding Americans. I feel bad for them but that’s the way this country works these days. When Americans lose their Second Amendment rights, Newtown will go down in history as where it all began.

I agree with this statement. Note the name of the town, I am not a tin foil hat type, yet something sinister and evil is occurring in our country - I woke up for three nights in the night last week and felt a severe sense of foreboding; anxiety.
The name is symbolic: New Town, if this was planned for a wider agenda.
I am really not a paranoid person, but it fits and I don’t believe in pure coincidences in many circumstances.

SANDY Fluke, SANDY the hurricane and now SANDY Hook. If I was a DemocRAT, I'd transpose the letters in SANDY into numbers and go buy a whole bunch of lottery tickets. SANDY is lucky to the DemocRATS. Don't know if it works for conservatives since it has brought nothing but bad luck to us.
