I don’t think guns are his primary issue; in his mind there are more important problems that have to be dealt with.
He apparently has forgotten that all of these issues are interrelated and if we lose one, we will lose them all.
There must be something about appearing regularly in front of TV cameras that turns people into idiots.
Does he even know what an “assault weapon” is?
I could beat someone to death with my toaster and I’m guessing the victim will think of it as an assault weapon.
Bennett really always been a little left of center. If you’ve listened to him at length, you can hear this undercurrent.

How many “assault weapons” did this guy use? Let’s not count the rifle in the car that never made it into the school. The yayhoos at Yahoo! said the rifle is “similar to the one used by the DC sniper”. I don’t know what that has to do with anything but I guess it’s important to the commie libs.

He lives in the beltway burbs, imagine who is neighbors are, many liberal and he has good friends like Kristol et-al that can never wrap their heads around our arrangement. Tangent to this he is our quote un quote morality Czar doesn’t mention; violent games and the effects on the young brains, broken families, the rise of the anarchy movement amongst teams, interest in satanism, mental health drugs with side effects, the failure of mainstreaming post de-institutionalization of the mentally ill and that total failure if you will. The fact that he didn’t mention these is a concern as to his vaulted status amongst our side.
