Question: "‘What more do we require?’ to stop violence, Rev. Jackson asks"

Answer: Placing Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton in Jail. Forbid them from publishing their opinions either orally or in writing. Eliminate the leftist control of media.

The only thing that can stop this sort of thing, is for those people that do these things to stop being the way they are....in other words, some people are just messed up and when God knows it’s your time and place, it is.

Karin Stanford, 39, the mother of the Rev. Jesse Jackson’s out-of-wedlock daughter, has told Chicago’s two major newspapers that she has never asked for nor received any money to keep quiet about her affair with Jackson. Stanford said Jackson’s lawyers asked her to sign confidentiality agreements, but no money was attached to the requests, according to the Windy City’s Tribune and Sun-Times. She also said she didn’t sign them. “I really need to clear up some misinformation about me,” said Stanford, an author and former professor. “I’m not a blackmailer. I’ve never received any payoff money.” Jackson’s spokesman confirmed that no money was offered. Stanford has sued Jackson, 59, seeking to formalize a child support agreement. Jackson has been sending $3,000 a month to support his daughter, who turns 2 years old this month. “Please don’t call me a mistress,” Stanford, who is said to have a $100,000 annual salary from one of Jackson’s organizations, told the Trib. “That implies I’m a kept woman. I am not that.”

The “Reverend”

I don’t know where he got that title. It sure has nothing to do with God and morality, and like you said, he can’t open his mouth without “lying”.

Race-baiter and white-hater would be a better title and he can share it with the “Reverend” sharpton.

Black Americans are 12.6% of the U.S. population but account for 50% of all homicides. Of those homicides more than 90% are perpetrated by other blacks.

Many of these homicides occur in cities like Chicago and New York which have the strictest gun laws in the nation.

I’m so SICK of hearing the lie from liberals it’s easier to buy a gun than (X) A Cup a Coffee or Rent a car. Maybe it IS for Criminals! I’m sure the Gang members/Drug dealers have no trouble going to the corner and buying an automatic weapon on the spot but NOT for citizens who obey the law.

“You don’t hunt with semi-automatic weapons,” Jackson said.

I do. It's a semi-automatic shotgun. Remington makes tons of them, as do Mossberg, Browning, etc. Come to think of it, there are lots and lots of semi-automatic weapons that hunters use. You know, now that I think about it, MOST hunting weapons on the market today are semi-automatic.

Jesse, you should go become a test subject for kevlar vests Vs. hunting ammunition. Tell us if they work against .306 or 30-60 rounds.

You should lobby for more restrictive use of firearms there in Chicago or in the State of Illinois. I haven't heard of anyone being killed with a slingshot, but I suppose that's inevitable so don't forget to ban those too.

Wow. And to think I would have guessed Syria, North Korea or Iran. How silly of me. The answer was just in my back yard....

A little less race-baiting and rabble-rousing would help, JJ. You might also tell your Marxist union buddies to tone it down a bit. Lastly, concentrate on the commandment that forbids us to envy the wealth and possessions of our fellow man.

That's not even true. "Automatic" weapon (aka - AK47, Uzi, Mac10, Machine guns, etc.) are not EASY to get anywhere for the thug trying to buy on sly. First, they are expensive machines (unless stolen). Only organized criminals go through the trouble and expense of purchasing automatic weapons. They usually are not buying them one at a time and certainly not from the kid down the street who stole one out of the car of the local SWAT officer or gun dealer. Loose lips and all that.

I'd hate to be buying coffee wherever Jesse Jackson buys his. Last time I bought a gun, I had to go through state and federal background checks and pay a fee almost equivalent to the cost of a cup of coffee. Because I have a common last name, delays in processing cost me another day. So this is easier than buying a cup of coffee?

Once again the media is in a frenzy about guns, ignoring the responsibility of individuals with mental problems or demonstrated abnormal behavior. I believe society's refusal to adequately deal with abnormal behavior started in the late 60’s or early 70’s and was brought about by actions of the ACLU, which essentially led to rulings that an individual’s right to be crazy (in public) trumps the collective right of society to be protected from this individual. Take away guns and these individuals, armed with surprise and whatever weapon is handy (i.e., knife, baseball bat, hammer, etc.), will continue to wreck havoc among us. The first step in prevention and dealing with mental illness is to recognize that it exists and that help is required.

No discussion. No “compromise”. No negotiations.

lol. Do you know who the House Majority Leader is....we are going to get at the LEAST Clinton era gun control laws. I think we are screwed! I just want to know how Boehner is going to fight the contant echo of “but it was 6 year olds” that will be thrown at him constantly.

At least he got it right. They are “semi-automatic” weapons.

He got what right? That semi-automatic weapons were used in this latest tragedy (implied)? Indeed Glock pistols are semi-automatic and 9mm is not used for hunting.

But "semi-automatic" weapons are used very frequently when hunting. Many shotguns and hunting rifles are semi-automatic. Even .22 weapons come in semi-automatic and I would not say those are designed to kill people. Rats, birds and squirls maybe, but not people. A .22 placed precisely can be lethal no doubt, but so can an air rifle.

***“It’s easier (in the United States) to buy a gun than a cup of coffee,” Jackson said,***

You would prefer the pre 1968 laws when Blacks were FORBIDDEN to own firearms?

Get back to us when you clear up Chicago and the other big city crime messes.
