The U.S. Congress must examine what can be done to respond to the Connecticut school shooting, including possibly new legislation, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said on Monday.

Reid told the Senate he agreed with President Barack Obama that no one law could erase evil, but added “we need to accept the reality that we are not doing enough to protect our citizens.” The remarks were significant coming from Reid, a Democrat from Nevada who during Obama’s first term opposed reviving a ban on assault weapons. …

Sure there is. New rule to be a teacher: You must have served in the military or police to get a teaching certificate. You must be able to carry and use a firearm.

Schools must have multiple exits, but only one entrance, a hardened one, with two armed guards behind glass that control the doors like you would see when entering an American Embassy.

All who enter would have to pass through a metal detector beofore they are allowed inside. Easy as pie.

My great grandkids would "own" the guns (If I had any) that are under my temporary control waiting for proper training and eventual righteous, under the RADAR, transfer.

That's what happened for my son anyway and it's a monumental thing (although he may not fully recognize it yet).
