President Obama announced gun control policies this morning at 11:45 a.m. Eastern. As reported on a local NBC News affiliate Channel 11 in Georgia, the administration will launch a major effort to develop and implement gun control policies the administration claims will help prevent another mass school shooting.
The president is tasking gun control expert, serial gaffe-master Vice President Joe Biden to head up what one presumes will be called a blue ribbon commission unilateral effort on why law-abiding citizens can no longer be trusted to possess certain kinds of guns, while only police, government law enforcement, and the U.S. military can.
The NBC report rightly captures the sense of urgency among some politicians to force through sweeping federal gun control legislation without reasoned deliberation, a proper discussion of the government’s powers, or a debate over the nature of people’s rights. Others might describe this urgency as politicians taking advantage of a legitimate crisis to exploit those who are emotionally willing to let their guard down.

this article is from an ‘email share’? Are there any actual news links to confirm this? There’s been plenty of hoax emails through hte years- not sayin this is a hoax, but I’m always skeptical of emails that get forwarded around- I’ve been stung by supposedly ‘true’ info before that turned out to be false-

I wish that someone with a spine (in Washington) would make a big deal out of the fact that these shootings, Newtown & Clackamas, happened in liberal enclaves. (plenty of democrats own guns) Jared Loughner had been a supporter of Gabrielle Giffords. Why are lefties disproportionately likely to freak out & go on a shooting spree? ;-) They’re “smart”, too. They always choose a place that they know guns are prohibited.

Anyway, before the election he was adamant that gun "nuts" drove him crazy with their fear of Obama. He said that Obama was not only not a gun grabber, he actually expanded gun rights by allowing you to carry a gun in federal parks. Well it's about a month after the election and Obama is in full-on gun grabbing mode.
It seems Obama is poised to raise the roof on taxes, cuts the heck out of defense, and grabs all the guns. All within two months of getting re-elected. My brother must be pleased that Obama has come home to his marxist roots. He sends his thanks to all Freepers who kept their own hands ideologically pure and refused to vote for Romney. Mission accomplished!

Funny, I have neither wanted nor felt the need for a semi-auto rifle (can’t be used in PA for hunting) but, I now feel compelled to get one.
I'm sure anyone with the time and inclination could locate many videos, news articles, speeches etc. with these LYING, NO GOOD, POS LIBERAL LIERS, stating just that.
