Watch This UPS Driver Steal An iPad Mini And Get Caught
Kevin Smith
December 21, 2012
Earlier today a video leaked via Reddit of a UPS driver stealing a package from the front porch of a home.
The package contained an iPad mini, a Christmas present for the homeowner's daughter.
The package had been dropped off earlier by a FedEx delivery person but a UPS delivery guy came up, inspected the package and walked off with it.
The act would have gone unpunished had the homeowner not installed a camera at his doorstep.
The video has since been removed from YouTube and Vimeo, but here is a news report detailing the situation:

You can sign a release and have the delivery guy just leave it. If you watch the full video you can see the FedEx guy pulling the release form from the side window, checking it and the package to make sure they matched and leaving the package.
You didn’t make that I-Pad!
Probably not.
->>`Hiring quotas can be a bitch.
That is what I was thinking. Right on.
I switched our company's shipping to FEDEX for exactly this reason. the difference in cultures is obvious. The UPS delivery guys change every week, leaving product at different doors every time, will leave them outside in the rain, whatever. Our FEDEX guy owns his truck and route, is pleasant and friendly, is flexible if we have a problem, knows our people.
Waiting for the wailing of the liberals and Michael Moore, crying “The racists set up a black man to get fired right before Christmas. That poor man- he didn’t do anything wrong...”.
A company that shall not be named once threw a package over the fence into the shrubbery around a celebrity’s house because they couldn’t get onto the property.
Same company also delivered a package to an address that we regularly used instead of to the correct address, never used before, in the same zip code. They thought they were autocorrect.
If they send him to prison for this he’ll be spreading something else.
“Just watch commercials of someone breaking into a nice house, during the day, after mommy brings the kid in for lunch or something and has to set the alarm.”
Those commercials are so funny! Living on the edge of the Newark Food Desert here in NJ, those things have no credibility at all.
Actually, I think they’re racist commercials. Where are the followup commercials featuring blacks, or Hispanics??? Don’t they deserve an equal chance to be in a commercial??
I have cameras monitoring the front of my home. You’d be surprised what goes on. Despite packages marked fragile and breakable, I’ve seen video of these delivery guys tossing packages up a ten-foot flight of stairs. Too lazy to walk up. Also caught a woman with two kids steal a package from my neighbor’s door. A teen drive down the street throwing rocks to bust a neighbor’s windshield. A neighbor bitch kicking and beating her two small kids when they were too slow getting in the car. (Which I reported to cops but they did nothing, although she was arrested another time for abuse.) I have full audio along with the video, and it captures arguments outside which are sometimes interesting (the bitch and her drug-addict boyfriends).
“Dont they deserve an equal chance to be in a commercial??”
They are in those commercials in my area; we call it the “evening news”...
Another crime by a feral adolescent. They roam from trough to trough shoving their snout in, eating until it is empty and then moving on. The scumbags in the UPS union will fight the firing as “unfair” and he will be given a suspended sentence. In the end he will lose his seniority but little else.
Yes. I believe in equal opportunity.
