Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) is poised to take over as chairwoman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, shifting the leadership of the partisan panel in charge of judicial nominations to the center.

She will have primary jurisdiction over two of the biggest issues Congress will tackle next year: immigration reform and gun control. …

Feinstein has sided with Republicans on big votes, which could pave the way for landmark bipartisan compromises on divisive issues such as immigration reform. …

But Feinstein has sided with liberals in other battles over the judiciary. She was one of a small group of Democrats to vote against both of Bush’s Supreme Court nominees, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito. …

Well there is going to a deluge of anti-Constitutional bills coming out of that committee.

Feinstein gets the chairmanship and the committee shifts to the center? Who wrote the article, and how far to the left is that person?

Feinstein is a bit of a dope, so she’s much better as chariman than Leahy. I remember when she was questioning Alito and he gave a detailed and to me perfectly understandable answer and she replied, “well I don’t understand that, so let’s move on.” Leahy is a militant leftist. Feinstein is less so and as a mayor has had to deal with real issues in life, not spent the last forty years in the senate.

re: “Feinstein has sided with Republicans on big votes, . . .”

Really? Is this true? Or, are they just including RINO ideas?

This is old news. Leahy has decided to stay on as chair of Judiciary. In the past, he has been against gun control.

The Judiciary Committee also reviews all nominations for federal judges, including the Supreme Court. This is clearly dressing the stage for a left-wing takeover of the Court.

Who decided the agenda? Take gun control out of it, unless it supports freedom and the right to self defense. The Constitution protects this one for a reason.

Who decides what the "issues" are? Isn't it time our side decided what it wanted to take up next year? The liberal issues aren't important right now. Spending and government oppression are out of control. Until these two things are cut way, way back, we won't have a nation left to try to "communize" anyway.

Important things first. Liberalism isn't important. In fact, it's nonsense.

The Senate is literally “The House of Lords.” Most ignorant and crony collection of fools on the planet. Democrats or Republicans. DeMint finally got fed up.

Boxer? Feinstein? Franken? Menendez? McCain? Whitehouse? Johnson (stroke victim and still maintains a key leadership position despite impairment), Schumer? Kaine? Warner? etc.

Unlike Republicans, Democrats (Marxists) stick together. Only a name change. Nothing else.
