Mitt Romney didn't want to be president, anyway.

That's what Tagg Romney, Mitt's oldest son, told the Boston Globe for its big post-mortem on his father's failed presidential bid published on Sunday.

“He wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life," Tagg Romney told the paper. "He had no desire to ... run. If he could have found someone else to take his place ... he would have been ecstatic to step aside.

Baloney! He destroyed several good candidates on his way to losing.

The size of his ego is astonishing if he only ran because the GOP-e convinced him only he could win.

Really? Why didn’t he simply back someone else during the primary?

I think that claim needs to be restated. He was DESPERATE to beat out all the other Republican candidates, and did everything he could to defeat them, including massive, lying attack ads.

But he didn’t want to run against Obama. So as soon as he got the nomination, he laid back and went to sleep, and ceased bothering with attack ads.

Then why did his campaign trash all the other candidates? He took a dump in the punchbowl then ran?

This is why I held out to the very end the hope that he'd step aside and allow the Republicans to select their own candidate for the first time since, uh, 1860!

You couldn't help but sense this guy didn't want to win.

Oh! Can’t wait to hear all the people who trashed the few of us that saw through all this admit their mistake.

What’s that? Crickets?

No shock really.

They're not going to show up ~ so no apology, and where are all the Mormon Mittbots who were screaming that we critics of this guy were just anti-mormon bigots?

Did they slink away perhaps?

How many more RINOS will become future POTUS candidates, and will there be an actual end to this ongoing trend, save the entire GOP, officially, dying as a major political party?

Where they always were. At Dem HQ.

Sherdenfrued. Or however you spell it. It sucks, but I haZ it.

I’d rather not have been ‘blessed’ such, but I’ve slept well since the election knowing eventually this day would come.

Bull.

He was running for President when he was Govenor.

He ran for President the entire four years between ‘08 to ‘12.

I wonder what the hell this guy would have done if he wanted the job.

His kid is an idiot.

Until he discovered just how F’d obama has us at his first sec briefing after the primaries. Then he said
HELL NO and clammed up. The fight left him and the desire went away.

Why would anyone in their right mind talk to the Boston Globe?
