"...Wages shall be linked to production...and establishing a minimum wage"

Interesting. You get a 'minimum' but are allowed to work harder if you want to? Can you imagine what their 'union types' will think of those that choose to take advantage of the "Wages shall be linked to production" clause?

Socialism is integral to Islam, to Arab nationalism, and to the Nasserite state. More important, the endorsement of socialism in the new constitution legitimates Egypt's "deep state" in which ranking current and former military officers and politically connected businessmen control and loot the Egyptian economy.

The new constitution will thus perpetuate Egypt's poverty and inability to generate jobs and incomes for most of its populace. In a way, this is good because Egypt's enduring economic weakness will help make the new regime more tractable because it will, like it predecessor, be dependent on US financial support and unable to go to war against Israel.

In time, discredit will also attach to the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamist ideology. This will likely lead to a weakening of the larger Islamist movement and to Islam itself among the Egyptian public, just as Islam has become thoroughly discredited among most Iranians because of the failures and miseries of being ruled by Shiite mullahs.

Thanks for posting
Went back to posting several times to see if there was some postings relavence to subject, and attempted to try the Forbes link which bounced all over the place.

The difference between an “islamist” and a socialist is that one believes there is some sort of a supreme being which orders everybody must conform to “what is written” and the other which does not profess in any such being but demands conformity to what the “collective” decides .My argument against islam on religious grounds is http://www.theusmat.com/islamandfreewill.htm

Outside of the theistic claim there is no difference between the two. Both demand authoritarian conformity, and the complete surrender of oneself to the state.. Hence a socialist would find themselves in agreement with some islamic “solutions” expressed in any state constitution such as been developed by the “brotherhood” and might support it as a stepping stone. Then work to kick out the deism portions and insert the “collectives” wishes in its place.

But this might explain why Forbes Bill Frenza feels Egypts new constitution appears to be socialist.

My FRiends, I do not know how to properly say this and make myself understood, but here we are reading about a Constitution of another Country, when we should be a bit more worried about our own.

What good is a Constitution when the leaders of a country ignore its contents. Our own Constitution is taking hits every day.Our Supreme Court under Roberts —instead of ruling on laws has begun deciphering and interpreting them to fit an agenda.

Our leadership in the Congress is allowing our President powers that he is not entitled to, and trying to take away the rights given by that document.

I believe Americans should pay more attehtion to the damage being done to out own Constitution and pay less attention to a Constitution being written in a country that is beyond redemption. I might add beyond redemption due to the interference of our own would be dictator.

Militant Islam has many connections to Nazism, and old ones at that:
