David Gregory: I voted for Obama.
Question #2: Sir, you are free to go.

Key Sentence: “’The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating this matter,’ police officer and spokesman Araz Alali said Tuesday. “

Did Gregory state on-air that it was a 30 round magazine?

He could have held up a fully loaded AK47 and gotten a pass since it’s journalistic reporting. He could have done the same thing on child porn and still gotten a pass since it’s just journalistic reporting. He’ll get a pass no matter what. Now if the president of the NRA did the same thing in DC, guess what?

Most all laws (and we all have got plenty more than enough) are only selectively enforced.
(That's one reason why prosecutors now have a very bad rep.)

Wayne LaPierre's only response to David Gregory's statement "Here is a magazine for ammunition that carries 30 bullets" should have been, "No David, that is not true."
David Gregory would clearly have objected and re-iterated, to which LaPierre could have simply restated, "No David, that is not true. It is a magazine that holds 30 cartridges. If it held bullets, it would be less harmful than a stapler."

OK, 99% of DC’s tax revenues come from limo libs and congress. But, how does some DC shop keeper feel having his tax $$$ spent on this stunt (by the cops, I mean)?
This is like when the SS came after Ted Nugent. Total waste of $$$ and everyone who signed off on it is guilty of stealing tax $$$ if you ask me.

"Investigate?"
What's to "investigate?"
He was in possession of an evil high-capacity magazine in DC, where it is illegal to possess one.

The way I see it, they have created a vast surplus of laws. I'm probably breaking 3 or 4 right now, just sitting here. If they wanted to get rid of me, they would just "discover" my various infringements, and then I'd be in a world of hurt. Alternatively, if you are a "Somebody" (like Obama's aunt) then you can get away with just about anything -- they are prepared to look the other way.
There is no justice in this land.

David Gregory Violated DC Gun Laws After Being Denied By DC Police?
The Metropolitan Police Department is in receipt of your e-mail regarding David Gregory segment on Meet the Press. MPD has received numerous e-mails informing us of the segment. NBC contacted MPD inquiring if they could utilize a high capacity magazine for their segment. NBC was informed that possession of a high capacity magazines is not permissible and their request was denied. This matter is currently being investigated. Thank you for taking the time to bring this matter to our attention.

The only reason anyone would have the slightest interest in listening to what David Gregory might have to say about guns and gun-control laws is because he appears to be knowlegeable about those topics.
Yet it turns out that Mr. Gregory does not even understand the gun laws in his own city sufficiently to avoid becoming embroiled in a gun-related legal issue that could get him sent to prison for a year.
It would certainly make more sense for Mr. Gregory to be in prison than to continue as the host of a once-prestigious Sunday talkshow now that he’s exposed his ignorance on a topic that he was previously arrogantly arguing about as if he were the world’s authority on that topic.

There is no such thing as a magazine clip.
There are clips and there are magazines, distinctly unique from each other.
Gun demonizers.

I don’t know. You throw a fully loaded magazine of bullets across a room It’d leave a fairly nasty scar.

Who cares how some DC shopkeeper feels about it? What matters is what would happen to ME if at a gun rights rally, i held that exact same magazine in the air as a protest?
If i would be prosecuted under a strict liability lawm so should he? How in gods name is it a waste of money to simply investigate Gregory when they would instantly _arrest_ me for the same act?
