Benghazi penalties are bogus

The four officials supposedly out of jobs because of their blunders in the run-up to the deadly Benghazi terror attack remain on the State Department payroll — and will all be back to work soon, The Post has learned.

The highest-ranking official caught up in the scandal, Assistant Secretary of State Eric Boswell, has not “resigned” from government service, as officials said last week. He is just switching desks. And the other three are simply on administrative leave and are expected back.

The four were made out to be sacrificial lambs in the wake of a scathing report issued last week that found that the US compound in Benghazi, Libya, was left vulnerable to attack because of “grossly inadequate” security.

Yes, we need to get to the bottom of this, the 51% of the voters who voted for Obama want to know if Obama will capture Ben Ghazi like he did Osama Bin Laden.

An administration literally getting away with murder. The silence of the republicans is disgraceful.

Libya: State Dept Did Not Even Reply to Officer Who Requested More Security
A U.S. security officer asked the State Dept. for more security in Libya -- he received no response.
When security officer Eric Nordstrom asked for more security in Libya in light of more than 200 security breaches from July 2011 to July 2012, he received no answer. Forty-eight of these recorded breaches took place in Benghazi.

Instead, he learned that State Dept. official Charlene Lamb wanted to keep the number of security personnel in Benghazi "artificially low," whatever that means. The result of this was not only the death of four Americans on September 11, but the wounding of three others who were hurt so bad that one of them is still in the hospital.

Nordstrom claims Lamb "believed the Benghazi post did not need any Diplomatic Security Special Agents because there was a residential safe haven to fall back to in an emergency." Ambassador Stevens died in that "safe haven."

Charlene Lamb:

Interesting. 200 security breaches. Requests more security and denied.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has addressed the security in Benghazi only twice in public remarks. When asked by CBS News whether the consulate had adequate security levels at the time of the attack, the secretary described the security detail as “robust.”
