~Favorite Walk or Walking Songs ~
Pantera Walk
Can't you see I'm easily bothered by persistence One step from lashing out at you... You want in to get under my skin And call yourself a friend I've got more friends like you What do I do?
[Pre] Is there no standard anymore? What it takes, who I am, where I've been Belong You can't be something you're not Be yourself, by yourself Stay away from me A lesson learned in life Known from the dawn of time
[Chorus] Respect, walk
Run your mouth when I'm not around It's easy to achieve You cry to weak friends that sympathize Can you hear the violins playing you song? Those same friends tell me your every word
[Chorus]
Are you talking to me? No way punk

Patsy Cline - Walkin' After Midnight
I go out walkin' after midnight Out in the moonlight, just like we used to do I'm always walkin' after midnight Searchin' for you
I walk for miles along the highway Well, that's just my way of sayin' I love you I'm always walkin' after midnight Searchin' for you
I stop to see a weepin' willow Cryin' on his pillow Maybe he's cryin' for me And as the skies turn gloomy Night winds whisper to me I'm lonesome as I can be
I go out walkin' after midnight Out in the starlight, just hoping you may be Somewhere a-walkin' after midnight Searchin' for me
I stop to see a weepin' willow Cryin' on his pillow Maybe he's cryin' for me And as the skies turn gloomy Night winds whisper to me I'm lonesome as I can be
I go out walkin' after midnight Out in the starlight, just hoping you may be Somewhere a-walkin' after midnight Searchin' for me

I got to see the full moon on the east-west portion of my way to work....the longest part.
It kept coming out of the clouds, went back in, and came back out. It was really cool.

This will be really old, but one of the most inspirational songs ever written is “You’ll never walk alone”. I heard it recorded/performed by Perry Como when I was very young.
“When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high and don’t be afraid of the dark.
At the end of the storm is a golden sky, and the sweet silver song of a Lark.
Walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain, though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, and you’ll never walk alone...
You’ll never walk alone!”

Rodgers and Hammerstein, from “Carousel”. It’s the finale. Several versions have been posted in this thread. Great song.

Ok, never bothered to find out its origin, and the Como rendition is/was so special to me, never connected it to anyone else.
And yes, it’s a fabulous lyric as well as musical composition.

“Carousel” was made into a movie in 1956. It’s worth renting. It’s rare to have a musical where the hero is killed in the middle of the show.

As you can see, I haven’t kept up with this whole thread as you seemed to.
Anyone posted “Walk right back” by the Everly Brothers, or “Walk on the Wild side” by Lou Reed?

I’m not sure if anyone posted the Everly Brothers tune, but I posted the Lou Reed video, and with great trepidation. That video was R-rated!

I’m not familar with the Lou Reed video, only the song itself.
The Everlys performance of “Walk right back” is from a live appearance in 1985 in the UK. Must’ve been a nostalgia tour...

Speaking of the Everlys and their UK perfomance on youtube of “Walk right back”...
It has always impressed me that the British Rockers admittedly idolized American Rockabilly stars such as the Everlys, Fats Domino, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison etc...

It’s called the “cold” moon...for a reason! LOL! It is clear here and the moon was bright and beautiful!

Well, here's a couple more walkers... sorry for being a bit late with these to this thread. (Don't know if anyone is still "listening" here.)
